2007
Whilst dossing about in London during my summer of not working, I would sometimes hang out with Som, the singer from My Vitriol, and we'd jam and work on a few tunes together. It never went anywhere, but it was fun to work with different people and especially amazing to work with someone who made an album I idolised growing up (Finelines). He started work on an EP with the band after a long hiatus and showed me a track he had been working on and asked if I'd be interested in remixing it; I totally bit his hand off at the opportunity. As usual, it was a tight deadline, but a few versions in and got it nailed and sent off to the mastering house in time for the release. I think this type of sound was very "me" back then, I would chuck drums aggressively at everything so it sounded like chaos, real bass heavy making it muddy. I wouldn't have done anything differently!
