Today's prompt is "wish."

I feel that I should be beating the drum for this and improvising on it rather than taking to the keys, but I don't think the time of day is going to permit me, and neither are the neighbours.

I feel today's prompt very strongly; it hits hard. I poured my feelings onto the keys, thinking about every dream and wish of mine done on a wing and a prayer, including some recent wishes of mine. I am fighting off tears.

This piece was intended to have lyrics and I wrote them as far back as 2009, but I haven't got the physical or emotional strength to handle lyrics today. So I improvised this much slower rendition. But one day, when the time is right, I'll do the original vocal version.
