Composed on Ash Wednesday (17 Feb). In my self-imposed absence from socials, I've set myself a series of prompts to iron out so that I could get to composing a few bars each day. The first prompt is "silence."

While not fully silent, I wrote this piece as an introduction to this whole season, an invitation to silent contemplation. I imagined gazing in silent wonder at the stars at night-time.
