Day 2 of the Lenten prompts that my beloved and I had set for myself to undertake over this season, written today (18 Feb). Today's prompt was "longing."

Part of the melody is an old one that was at the back of my mind all the way from 2008, and I never really knew how that piece ended -- so I decided to let it carry me and see how it would go.

The title is French for "story of the long road," and it is a subtle nod to a project I once dreamed up many years ago. It is perhaps also a nod to the long road I've travelled. I wrote this with a sense of longing for any light at the end of this seemingly long tunnel. I'm mentally not in a good place -- not been, for a while.

The title fits very well. The song does sound like a long walk down a long road. If you know any animators, you could get them to do a music video of it.
