So here is the first picture of 2020, and it's a Kobold.

When I first redesigned Jia Jing Fei, I created two royal guards along with her.

They were originally Yuri bait, so I wanted to move away from that quickly.

I haven't touched them since then and I wanted to use this as a chance to revamp them.

First off, I made Zig yellow instead of orange because Jun is already orange and I want each Kobold to stand out as much as possible.

Also, I gave her purple hues on her clothing to make it compliment her yellow scales, as well as making her strips a deep purple.

Her clothing I like alot more than her previous outfit as it kinda reminds me of Blaze the Cat in a sense.

But the one major change I made it that Zig is a Hydromancer now inside of having "Cold Fire" as a power.

Zig will be the "softer" of the Beifong Twins and if you like a "harder girl" then you'll have to wait for Zag later.

Jia's Notes:

As a member of the royal Jing Fei family, there would come a day when I’d be giving royal guards to stand by my side wherever I’d go.

As for me, that day came very early, as I met my two best friends who’d later become my said royal guards; the Beifong Twins.

For as long as I’ve known her, Zig was always a bit on the quiet and shy side.

She was a typical bookworm type that loved to read and loved writing.

This unfortunately made her “bully bait” as those who messed with Zig very quickly got beaten badly by her younger sister Zag.

I befriended Zig first, and by us talking I was able to get her to come out of her shell a bit more, and Zag I could tell was happy about that.

As we grew older Zig became a very powerful Hydromancer, her water based attacks are incredible and mixed with her graceful ballet like movements, every strike was a feast for the eyes.

When sparring with Zig it was great fun and a challenge to have someone that could fight against my flames and forcing me to think more outside the box.

It was this level of creativity that cemented Zig in my mind as a royal guard, as I’ve seen her many times beat others without having to overexert herself physically.

For a Hydromancer as gentle as Zig, she has an affinity to use her water in such genius level trap based combat.

Perhaps it was all the Hydromancy books she has read but the sheer number of ways she can mancy water is frightening.

I can’t but help to feel a bit sorry for the first Black Lotus assassin she killed on our first mission; the fact she made him drown on dry land should speak for itself.

Currently, Zig is 29, and she is still my royal guard along with Zag.

Out of the two twins, Zig is the one that is more calm and level-headed.

I think I might have imprinted on her since we met at such an early age as Zig acts much more of a diplomat as she is usually the one to act with logic and careful thinking to defuse tension.

When we aren’t on missions Zig can be found in her room writing and or catching up on some reading.
