Here is Dolores De Leon, making her glorious return.

It’s been roughly a year since I’ve last drawn her, and I’ve improved a bit since last time.

So, what is different about Dolores this time?

Not too much, the only things I changed was her hair and her sunglasses.

I wanted Dolores’ hair to look a little more unique, as I didn’t want to fall into a rut of ladies with side parted bangs.

And the glasses, I wanted them to look close to what Team Flare Admins wore, as I noticed they all had more futuristic visor like shades.

Other than some smaller clothing tweaks and a more slimmed out anatomy, I’ve been enjoying the way Dolores is looking now.

It’s nice to have a taller character to draw, as I don’t want to only focus on shortstacks.

Plus, the world needs more Mewtwo women, I’ll try my best to revisit Dolores again soon.

Bio:

As the final Mewtwo being created in the ROY-G-BIV project, Team Flare wasn’t going to squander this opportunity they were handed.

Team leader, Lysander, had made a small deal with former leader of Team Rocket; Giovanni.

This Mewtwo DNA sample cost a large fortune, but it wasn’t an obstacle for Lysander.

But the DNA sample wasn’t enough for Lysander, no, he needed something more to give Subject O-7 the edge in combat.

Lysander would order Xerosic to collect some data and, if possible, DNA from all the top 100 Pokémon Trainers in the world.

Through the search, Xerosic would find a young adult Unovan trainer named Ricardo Willard, better known by his moniker of “The Crownless King”.

This caught his interest as this man’s two Aces were his starter Charizard “The Crownless Queen” Tenka, and a Mewtwo infamously known as “The Green Devil” Tetsuo.

While difficult, he was able to find some samples of Tenka and Tetsuo by sending out his elderly assistant, Luiz De Leon, on a “business trip” to Unova.

While this mixture of DNA was already an insanely powerful combo, Lysander wanted to up the ante one final time.

Team Flare Admin, Bryony was able to successfully capture a live Victini.

She was aware about Lysander’s interests in Victini’s seemingly endless energy it can produce, called “Victory Energy”.

Bryony would present this finding to Lysander, and the order was given to extract as much Victory Energy out of Victini and use said power to greatly enhance Subject O-7’s power.

For the next several years, Team Flare would work on this Mewtwo while Lysander would focus on capturing Xerneas or Yveltal to power his death machine.

With each injection of the Victory Energy, Subject O-7’s DNA would be enhanced greatly, improving her psychic abilities, and giving her a subtyping of Fire thanks to the Victini energy.

Through this time, Luiz bonded with the young Mewtwo while still in her incubation chambers.

While she technically wasn’t “born” yet, her telekinetic activity awakened far faster than anyone imagined.

Luiz called her, Dolores, a much more humanizing name than “Subject O-7”.

Through getting to know Dolores, Luiz realized she was far more self-aware of what she was, and what she was going to be forced to do.

It saddened her greatly, not knowing if she’d be able to escape with such heavy surveillance.

Not to mention, the gene splicing sessions, and the needle jabbing, it was all very unpleasant.

And on top of that, all the innocent Pokémon being harvested just to put their DNA into Dolores; including the Victini that unfortunately passed away a year prior.

All the horrors he had seen finally brought Luiz to a breaking point, he couldn’t pretend that this was morally sound.

Team Flare were a bunch of psychopaths, and Luiz no longer wanted anything to do with them.

So Luiz promised Dolores that both him and her would find someway to get out of this hell, together.

They made these plans in secret, and planned to run away to Alola, to live a peaceful, blissful life.

While Xerosic was very suspicious, Luiz was able to guise these meetings with Dolores as “pre-training” making sure she’d be the “perfect killer”.

The night before the escape, Luiz would destroy the master lock controls and turn off the surveillance systems without alerting the crew.

This would allow the captured Pokémon to escape throughout the night with hopefully little trouble.

Finally, the long awaited day arrived and Dolores was completed and released into the world.

Only immediately for Dolores to send out a pyrokenetic blast so powerful that the lab and anyone around her were charred to a crisp.

Dolores would meet with Luiz, where Dolores would fly the both of them off to Cyllage City’s bay.

They had a boat prepped and ready as the two managed to escape to Ula’ula Island.

The pair landed in Malie City and would take roughly a year to get settled in.

Luiz would buy a building, and they’d start running a small club called “Sakura Petals”.

This club would gain notoriety, mostly for Dolores herself, as it was a way to see a real life Mewtwo without the threat of violence.

It made Dolores a bit of a local celebrity to Ula’ula Island.

Things would continue to run smoothly for the duo, as Sakura Petals’ popularity grew, the more customers they would get.

Eventually, the club would gain international status, as tourists from all over the world would pop in for some entertainment.

Unfortunately, tragedy would strike as after a few years, Luiz himself would pass away due to natural causes.

On his deathbed, Luiz told Dolores just how proud he was of his daughter, and that he was overjoyed that Dolores could finally enjoy a taste of the good life.

While this was a sudden gut punch to Dolores, she would carry on to become the new owner of Sakura Petals, and even adopting the last name of De Leon in honor of her father.

Today, Dolores can be found still running Sakura Petals, as the club expands every few years.

Not to mention, Dolores herself can be found traveling to popular battle spots all over the world during the off season to not only enjoy herself in the heat of battle; but to advertise her club at the same time.

It’s a strange method of madness, but Dolores doesn’t complain when she gets the results she wants.

Personality:

Despite being a Mewtwo, Dolores is rather calm and chill for being a scientific abomination.

She is a hard worker and always makes it her main focus to take care of her club.

Dolores tends to work at least every part of her club once a week, from bartending, cooking, cleaning, and even acting as a bouncer from time to time.

This dedication to her club really makes her staff see Dolores more as a leader and not just their boss.

While not working, Dolores just likes to enjoy that Alolan air by either taking a swim, or going surfing.

Taking to her psychic powers, she tends to “cheat” by making her own waves to practice far longer and harder than your average local Alolan surfer.

When Dolores is fighting, she takes a Muay Thai/Kickboxing hybrid styled stance.

She likes to mix in her psychic and flame powers together with her strong blows.

She usually starts out with Kickboxer punches and kicks, and only moving on to Muay Thai knees and elbows for tougher opponents.

Her 7-foot tall frame, makes Dolores’ reach something to be feared, and gives her a clear advantage with her kicks.

Dolores has a tendency to train heavily on her days off, usually for 4 hours on average.

While usually training alone, Dolores occasionally will visit Melemele Island to train with kahuna Hala’s team when she wants to push herself further.

She only fights for the sake of fun and sportsmanship, but deep down, Dolores does love the thrill of getting into a fight with a strong opponent; even if she refuses to admit it.

Especially when Dolores is visiting other regions, she just feels the need to go all out.
