Here is a more recent picture of Silica Nexus I've made.
I was looking through my gallery recently and I've been noticing that my art has been becoming slightly "static" when it comes to poses.
I could blame that on my self for foolishly wanting to only become a pin up artist.
But I won't make any excuses, I just simply need to aim for more dynamic poses.
Which hopefully I can remedy with more picture like this in the future.
So Silica is a highly advanced cyber-organic android, which means I had to eventually show what she can do when in action.
I don't want Silica to just end up as another "pretty face" as most of my characters seem to end up as.
For this picture, I wanted to show Silica in a flying pose while at the same time now wanting to kill myself with a background.
Perhaps this is lazy yes, but I to make up for the lack of background, I wanted to test out some "effects" with Silica's thrusters.
I wanted to show the "smoke trails" as Silica takes off for flight and I think they turned out rather nice.
Could have gone with black smoke, but that'd look a bit too dull and plain I think.
Also I think this pose looks great, not too shabby for a first time with this pose.
More poses like this are going to have to become slightly more regular for me, as I feel this'll help me to improve further.
