Garosu was the 29th Phantom to serve as Monster of the week in Ep.26 of the Kotetsu Jeeg Anime and was third to possess a human form, after Chirara and Takeru. Both in its Human and Phantom form, Garosu had a considerable physical build, who, was above all else, a proud archer.

In its Human form, he wore an Archer's outfit; with a helmet adorn with large horns and a yellow red skull; his uniform was brown leather vest, with yellow red eyes; a light grey shirt, black quilt, dark leather gauntlets and wore Brown leather Boots.

In its Phantom form, Garosu resemble the Minotaur, Brown and Grey in color with a Red helmet and adorn with three horns. It's arrows became explosives, could shoot lasers from the now bug like eyes on the chest and generated Tentacles if he were to lose its limbs in battle.

Garosu is chosen for an assassination mission on Hiroshi Shiba, after demonstrating its superior skills to Queen Himika and Minister Imika. Later, at a diner, Hiroshi and Chibi are surprise to see Kikue working as a cook; Opposing to her been away from home, Hiroshi learns they don't have enough money to make ends meet, a problem that had gone worst since his father's death, Chibi takes the matter at heart and decides to leave so he would not be a bothersome in the family (Chibi is not an actual child of the family) and leaves a note to Hiroshi. Hiroshi searches for him and finds him in the park, where Garosu fires his arrow at him – Hiroshi pushes Chibi out of the way but gets pierce in the heart. He is taken to the Medical Facility in Build Base for treatment, convulsing in delirium for Chibi, and blames himself for creating the circumstance the enemy exploited. Dairi lies surprise he had survived the attack, since the Arrow pierced him from end to end. Kikue looks at her son, in fact knowing the truth than most.

Back in Jamatai, Ikima and Garosu celebrate for the success of the mission, only to be dampened when Himika berates them of the reality of the situation. His Archer's pride wounded, Garosu breaks an arrow and transforms into a Haniwa Phantom and leaves to complete the mission. In the lab, Computer Father tells Kikue Hiroshi's life has been saved by the Jamatai Bell, the truth behind Hiroshi's powers; Kikue begs he tells Hiroshi the truth, but he understands his son is not ready for it yet, the future depending on its location been kept a secret until he understands he must protect their country with is life.

Side Note: Old man, he is been doing that for almost 30 episodes now - how many times thus he had to almost die and how many Phantoms does he had to destroy until you tell him?.

The Alarms sound off as Garosu is detected on his march to the lab; Michi is ordered to board Big Shooter, only to be surprise to find Chibi on board; begging her to allow her to help, still blaming himself for what happened, and she allow it.

Side Note 2: MOST IRRESPONSIBLE ADULT OF THE LAST MILLENNIUM, PEOPLE - and that's saying a lot when one has watch the Showa Gamera films!!!

As Garosu approaches, he confronts the MechaDon2, who fights him with a shield and sword, though he breaks the weapons with no difficulty and walks over him; MechaDon then grabs onto it, only to be shutdown accidentally by the Shooter. Garosu fires with its laser beam, blinding the occupants, then shoots an arrow at it, hitting the cockpit and knocking Michi out, with Chibi taking control of the Big Shooter. The Lab then uses its mines and canons to repel the Phantom, but Garosu responds with a barrage of its arrows, destroying the defenses. The sound of battle wakes Hiroshi up, Kikue begs him to stay in bed after losing so much blood, but he knows he is invisible, understanding that the arrow piercing should had been fatal. Kikue almost spells it to Hiroshi, stopping mid sentence, Hiroshi realizing she must know, like his father. As Garosu causes destruction to the lab, Hiroshi decides to take the fight, specially seeing Chibi almost tried to pull a kamikaze attack on the Phantom after the engine was hit by an arrow, the stunt only stopped by Michi waking up on time. Knowing he is the target of the Phantom and after a word of encouragement from his mother, Hiroshi departs for battle and transforms into Jeeg.

Garosu hits him with its laser beam and to shoots an arrow, piercing him, Michi provides cover to Jeeg with Missiles, taking the Phantom off balance; Jeeg fires Knuckle Bombers, dismembering his left arm and blasting its legs off with Jeeg Beam. Garosu repels the other attacks, and generates tentacles to replace its lost limbs, grabs onto Jeeg and fires its laser onto his very face, the Big Shooter's missiles not facing it. Remembering the words of his mother, Jeeg finds new resolve and takes the Phantom off of him, sees its Bow and Arrows, and grabs it as Garosu dashes for another attack; Jeeg fires the arrow straight to the skull ornament in the chest, blowing Garosu up in the process.

After the battle, Hiroshi reflects at the lake's shore, when Michi tells hims his father wants to see him; Hiroshi replies there is no need for it, as now he knows the truth by himself – the reason behind its invulnerability – He knows he carries the Bell inside of him, and vows to protect with his life.
