Roland was seriously considering whether his skills were being taken for granted by these two. Was it any surprise they were in their current predicament when they continued to ignore his protestations? He said he didn't know anything about conducting music, but still, these two fishheads insisted he solve the riddle of this frog choir thing.

The way had been blocked by impassible ice; unbreakable and unmeltable; but before the group could give up and search for another route, a mysterious voice chimed in something about solving the riddle of the frog choir. 

Now, maybe he was a little rash in being the first to insist they figure out the riddle. But he was a mage; curiosity in the face of riddles was practically part of the job description. That didn't mean he was musician. But the ladies insisted and insisted he take up a baton and conduct the choir. 

The results of this followed quickly after. First was Esther and her incredible-stretching-tongue, which she didn't seem to mind much. Curiosity and experimentation came before blind panic for that one. Despite being a cleric, she had the mindset of a mage, which just annoyed Roland.

Then there was Melinda, whose transformation was more... complete than Esther's. But Roland had to admit, behind the scowl and angry croaking, she made a cute frog. She didn't seem to agree though, which she physically manifested in the lump on the top of his head.

Life was ever so painful.
