"Hold still damnit!!!"
"OOF??"
Melinda hated magic users. She didn't care what they called themselves. If you used magic exclusively, you were just a pain to deal with. That wasn't the same as using a bit of magic, hence why she was a Paladin instead of just a Warrior. Still, she believed nothing good came from an over-reliance on magic, and in this case, it lead to her missing her target witch, and slamming Roland in the gut with her hammer.
Granted, she wasn't that choked up for the guy. She was still pissed about the betrayal earlier.
Now the witch had just materialized in... Esther's hat. Goddamn, magic users.
"Are you going to splash all day?!" Melinda screamed, readying her hammer for another swing.
"I detest violence. How's about we take a nap?" Said the impish little head.
"I'LL GIVE YOU A DIRT NAP!!"
"Yipe!"
Esther yelped as she ducked out of the way of the marauding swing. But Melinda was disappointed to find her target had already fled the hat. She had so little patience for games like this, especially when the magic user suddenly materializes behind her. That, which Cylla did.
Cylla gave a very small smirk to the bewildered mermaid.
"You want my treasure so badly eh? Would you like it gift wrapped or just standard packaging?"
That paused the momemt.
"What?" Replied Melinda.
"You can have it. You seem to want it so much, so I may as well give it to you."
"What?"
"I suppose I'll just get another. There's plenty to share, and maybe it will be beneficial for all of us."
"What?"
Melinda's mind had frozen. Maybe it was the tension of the day finally getting to her, or the sheer absurdity of the situation stalling her mind, but she was like a salmon up a stream.
But one mind had not stopped at this moment. In fact, it was poised like a scorpion ready to sting.
"Hold it a moment!" Proclaimed the voice of Roland.
