Reviews for "Devoured Intellect"

short and fun. got it on the first try, using the same reasoning as the publisher. the answers lacked nuance and were devoid of human experience.

BoobMarley responds:

Haha, nicely done!

Haha that was fun!

I will sugest a change in the font! :( it was hard to me to read.

Anyway aewsome job!

BoobMarley responds:

I think I chose form over function for the font - regardless, I'm glad you dug the game! Thanks for playing.

Enjoyable short game. I won the game on my first guess and got both medals.

Good:
1. The logic of the correct answer. I got it after some thinking. There were additional clues that I felt were embedded in the game, though I won't spoil the game by mentioning what they were here.
2. Sound, graphics, and animation were good considering the restrictions.
3. Overall creativity, including the incomplete "guide"

Bad:
1. We should be allowed to re-interview any individual party member whenever we want, and not have to re-interview the entire party over again if we just need to re-interview one person.

Ugly:
1. Arrows needed to advance dialogue were small, kept changing positions, and hard to see as it blended into backgrounds. Why do we need to click an arrow? Why can't we just click anywhere to advance the dialogue?

I can see Aubrey Plaza playing the role of the Rogue in the live-action movie :P

BoobMarley responds:

Good: Thanks

Bad: Nope. There's no easy way out. Do it right the first time, or do it all again.

Ugly: Clicking the arrows, and having them change places, helps ensure players don't accidentally double-tap and skip dialogue, and forces them to be attentive to everything being said.

Fairly good, although the answer was a little obvious. I question my own ability to come up with responses to questions for a horrible identity thieving monster that has some kind of weakness in relating properly to it. Would a doppleganger have the same kind of weakness? Well, it can read the surface thoughts of the people it's communicating with, so it's far more adept I suppose.

I'm personally aware of intellect devourers getting limited info on their victims, so it makes some sense, and I suppose you left that part of the page off on purpose.

BoobMarley responds:

Didn't leave that off specifically - I was more focused on what barebones to include first, and then let imaginations create problems for each player.
Glad to know at least one player was down with Intellect Devourers beforehand, haha. If you've never played the "Expedition to the Barrier Peaks" module, I highly recommend it. Anyways, thanks for playing and for leaving a review!

I went with "A sex drive"

BoobMarley responds:

Haha, not a bad hunch.
