Reviews for "Ikimono High: Monster girls dating sim"

This is a good game. If I could play the rest of it without crashing it'd be good but my computer is crap. XD

KoltonKennedy responds:

damn, i feel bad for you. You could play it in an okay computer :)

Great game good characters and a okay art style only problem is a small yet annoying bug that occurs when you get an ending and press day 1 the audio track from the ending continues to play over the music meaning the same song loops over each other which can be VERY annoying

cuuuute! i love all the character designs!

Adorable game! I love the cute art and the dialogue. I dated Nomi-chan first ( she's the one I had my eye on haha), I then got the Hidzume ending and then all the other endings. The art is cute, the story was decent, and the characters were ok. I felt that all the girls instantly were in love with Kei so It was easy to win their hearts,
Some bad points to this game is the system used here-You have to buy gifts to progress the game or else you'll be stuck having the same responses with them every day. I don't really like that because once you run out of money, you just sleep and poof more money (kinda fantasy like with the money popping out of nowhere. Maybe include a job system?). Also I wish there were more stuff like picture scenes (ex: Whenever Kei kisses a girl, The group hug part, etc.) and I wish that Kei could explore more out of the school, we only get to see the classroom and the roof and that's it. It's kinda boring with just two backgrounds and we can never see when Kei and another character hang out/date. Another bad point about this game that I noticed was Kei's reactions. I saw that Kei looked unsure at times if he liked the girl or not, with the group of ellipsis and a shy face looking off. I understand if he was shy but It seemed that he was forcing himself to like the girl so the girl chosen wouldn't get her heart broken. A good example of this (spoiler alert) is when Hidzume kisses him, and the next time they talk, she asks if he liked the kiss, He looks off and looks like he wants to say no or something. I don't know if what I'm guessing is canon or not, but It's just something I noticed.

Overall, this was a pretty cute game, but I wish there were more choices, consequences (like if you cheat on your girlfriend ), and more scenes/places to go to. Maybe if there were more things included, the game wouldn't be so repetitive at times and boring, because I had to go through a system like this: Talk to girl-study-study-eat-sleep or talk-study-sleep and that gets boring very quickly.

-Question- What program did you use to make this?

KoltonKennedy responds:

Thank you for the review! I couldn't add more features to this game because there was a problem I'm having trouble with. Anyway, I'll add some of the suggestions you said in the sequel.

Hey, that's life you know? Repetitive. Eat, sleep, repeat. Aww...who am I kidding?

I made this game in Adobe flash cs5. All of my games are made with that program.

Okay, overall a pretty good game. There were some things that confused me, however. Main thing being why there wasn't an option to skip past all previously read dialogue or even a keyboard button to press to advance the text. I think the biggest thing for me is the endings. I only got one, the "Visual Novel" ending, but I had the cyclops girl maxed out on affection for me. I passed the test, too, so did that have something to do with it?

Still, good enough to get me to try and play through again to get a different ending, as well as go on and play the sequel.
