Reviews for "Ikimono High: Monster girls dating sim"

i enabled flash, nothings happening.

This was bad. It wasn't trash, but it sure wasn't good. Maybe I'm just a jaded jerk, but the writing had no ounce of originality. The art and whatnot was decent for a flash game. The only thing really holding this project back was it's uninspired story.

If you're doing this just as a means to express yourself then it's fine. If you want to truly make a lasting story that connects with people then it's going to need to be much closer to home. As in not such an idyllic setting with "perfect" characters. People just accepting monsters without any racial violence? Nope. All the characters having a collective boner for the protagonist? Nope. The protagonist being accepting of everyone and everything? Well that can work, but the world will screw over such yes men in it's own way.

I'm not trying to be hurtful or anything kid. Just being an honest jerk.

what? i dont even...

I have to agree with Danpcz. The game felt too on-rails and simple. Personally, I like my dating sims to be more dynamic; The protagonist having a life outside of school and flirting with girls, such as a job to go to, family and friends to interact with who may or may or clash with the love interests as far as taking your time, more diversified ways to attracting girls (maybe building a skill, athletic activities to join, different appearances with try), etc. Having it be a simple-track "click to win" game without any challenges makes the game a bit dull. In fact, you don't even have to try balancing your school life if you spend all your funds on one girl. And as a result, there's no real sense of accomplishment. I mean, you can beat the game in 6 days.

The things I did like were the artwork, which I felt was very fitting for a harem story, and very well done. I also like the characters themselves, whom all had unique personalities and ways of interacting with others. Lastly, I enjoyed the user layout of having all the options to interact very simple and straightforward. A lot of dating sims having you toggle to the bedroom and then allow you to end the day, or toggle to a restaurant or cafeteria to eat, when it's a lot easier to just press the sleep or eat button to automatically end the day or restore health from anywhere. The player doesn't need THAT much immersion to get the point across.

If you were to go back and revise this, I would say, add more thing to do like stated above, add more girl to chat with, add more scenarios where the character can develop, and make the game harder. There needs to be more things to juggle in the life of the protagonist in order to make the goal worthwhile. Good luck on your next endeavor.

KoltonKennedy responds:

Thanks, but I like it just the way it is right now and I wouldn't change a thing (maybe a few but eh)

So. I first wrote a comment saying "YOU SUCK" so im sorry.
Um..so...
1/1 Better then anime. -IGN
You should think a better content for a game.

KoltonKennedy responds:

and you should think of another comment because this is something a 9 year old would write.
