Reviews for "Guild Dungeons 2"

good game, but,the knight has mustache and beard and woman body

So it took me a half hour just to figure our how to buy stuff to build with. I'm not going to sit around for another six hours just to be able to buy the stuff to start the game.

Also, Using newgrounds to promote another site to play your game on in is poor taste.

boring ass town number changing simulator

This game has seen a lot of work, but unfortunately is far from finished.

1) Start is really confusing. You are thrown into a game with 20 different resources and no guide what to do. It takes a while to figute out you need the market to trade goods so you can build basic buildings. I'd suggest giving enough resources to get basic buildings (wood, stone and tin, maybe iton) asap. Either that or a bit of a guide to lead you to buying appropriate buildings. I thought building wheat farms early on might be a good idea, but i was wrong. Wasted resources.

2) Resource-wise the game is extremly unbalanced. You get a ton of some resources and not enough others. You might think that is a "challange", but it's mostly just confusing and annoying. Example: wheat is very rarely used but stone is like the most needed resource. This is where the game needs most fixes: option to crank up stone production, tin production etc. I never built a smelter because bronze is cheap and not needed enough. In short a way to upgrade your resource production.

3) Quests. You might think that above mentioned is fixable by doing quests. And yes, in a way it is. But clicking every single unit every single f**** time when you send it on a quest is a pain. A few setting should be able to be saved and quickly repeated, so when i harvest the hell out of Darkwood for that stone i dont abuse my mouse like i'm playing a FPS. One click missions are a must, considering the repetitivity needed.

4) The music could (should) be better. While it's OK as it is, you do listen to it a lot and it could do with some improvement. Like a longer soundtrack.

5) There are a couple of minor bugs when building stuff: e.g. the colloseum appeared when i built the wall, and just some buildings appeared when i actually built the colloseum. Not really a biggie, but take a look at it when you have time to spare.

Not to only criticise, here's some good stuff as well :)

6) I love the concept. The whole idea of building a city from scratch is well fleshed out and it just feels right.

7) The graphics are nice. I like the ant-people running around and how buildings start turning into a city. But see 5).

8) The game is BIG. It has the potential to be one of the best games on this portal, but needs fixing mostly in the balancing area. Just keep working on it :)

I would play it if it werent for constant hiccups and freezing every few seconds
