Reviews for "Guild Dungeons 2"

First quest area. 5 conscipts easy wins.

second quest area (still difficulty 2) i used 15 conscripts and won.

area 3 difficulty 4 45 conscripts 20 goblins scrappers 20 goblin hunters. LOSE.

what the hell. this makes no sense

aside from the fact that it doesin't even give you a hint of what you might need a difficulty 4 quest implys around double difficulty of a 2 and i use so many more units and still i lose.

this game is crap

Kinda like stronghold except you don't feed the people which is weird for a sim like this. But good work.

Major improvements but still some flaws!

The game flows much better than the previous one. Much much much better. It's nice to not have to click 10 billion times to get stuff done. Everything's got a much better look to it too! Added customizability is lovely and can greatly ease adventuring. Thank you for that! The music is simple and pleasant. You don't really hear it but it does improve the feel. This is good. Music for this kind of game should do that.

The gameplay is addicting, and while some things aren't terribly balanced (mineral gain, buy/sell rates, etc.), investing time can fix that with pure waiting and adventuring. I do wish there was a way to increase mineral gain, even if it was expensive. The only MAJOR beef I've got with this game now is the foundry. You can only produce 1 iron per round, max, and it saps 10 for a meager one gold, which doesn't actually pay for the iron it's using, though I suppose one gold for 10 iron is gob-tons better than the selling rate. Still, lots of things work off iron and I'm losing 9 every round instead of gaining any ever. It's really harsh, but no research without it so it's a very necessary evil unfortunately.

Tips for improvement: When selecting units for adventures, make a basic toggle function. Clicking a unit selects them, clicking it again deselects them. A way to increase mineral gains (iron, tin and stone... Copper comes in pretty easily through other methods) but I would make it expensive so it's something to work towards and makes it harder for people to accelerate their town too quickly.

That's about all I can think of. Excellent game. Been looking forward to another one of these for a long time! One of my favs!

All in all a great game - once you get the hang of it. Figured out pretty early how to boost my economy to the point where questing became worthwile. I think I played it for two hours before I finished the quest with the highest level. I don't know if that counts as winning or whatever. Anyway - I quickly found that there was no reason whatsoever to build the more expensive unit buildings - once you got hunters, sneakthieves and archers en masse, you pretty much rule the quests. Hell, I never even figured out a single blacksmithing recipe. Entertaining, very well made and very addicting - but seeing as I "beat" (I have no idea whether I actually beat it or not) rather quickly and fully upgrading my town still seems like a lot of work, I don't think I will continue playing.

That being said, I definitely recommend playing this game, kudos all the way :)

P.S. Getting started can be tricky, so I recommend getting as many hovels as possible, run taxes low until you have about somewhere between 50 and 100 inhabitants - then start buying the cheapest income generating buildings. That should get you going.

i have no need to hit play i already know its the best game to ever be on my computer screen
