Reviews for "Guild Dungeons 2"

Ahem,
While this was a very good game there are a few fundamental discrepancies.

One example of said discrepancies is the problem with resources. There should be a much more efficient way to obtain those key resources besides the tedious 5 per turn or at least, we should given a fast forward function. Also, when you couple the resource problem with some of the ridiculous building requirements it becomes almost impossible to build much of the military structures. On top of that I found that I was able to beat the last boss can be beat with just sheer numbers; succubi in the lead and I didn't even need to fulfill the requirements need to give my army new spells. So by definition, a lot of the work you put in simply goes to waste.

All said, you have in front of you, an excellent game. I look forward to a new and improved Guild Dungeons 3 in the future.

great game i love everything about it except concerning one resource, mushrooms they cant be bought or grown ans so far i think the only quest that gives them only drops two. a way to atleast buy them would be great

Guys, how do I get, the troop I am missing, it is right before the archer, I thought it was an elven archer, but I see people talking about a minotaur and I don't have one, so I guess that is my missing troop.

changing of topic, I cannot believe all the bad scores this game is getting, just because of people who have never played a strategy or resource managing game before, if you don't like this kind of games, just move on to the next plataformer or something, but don't leave a bad score saying nonsense like:

1-) the games makes no sense at the beginning you have to sell all your gold to start the game:
Well there are not a lot of viable strategies at the begging of the game cause this is only a flash game and isn't supposed to be super deep yet. Still there are alternatives to that opening move, like finishing the first mission, that gives you wood and silver, materials for making the wood camp.

2.)My troops keep dying I don't know what to do.
Well first of all there is the mission brief, where you can see what kind of hazards you are exposed when you accept this mission, there are different kind of troops, each with their strengths in combat and against the environment, so check that before sending conscripts and henchmen without water or supplies to a freaking desert.

If your troops manage to survive the environment then there comes the combat, let me tell you, there has been a lot of thought put into the combat system, people is not used to play smart games, they want to be told that water beats fire and that axe beats lance and that is all the complexity they can handle. Use your common sense, don't send people with swords to fight flying enemies as example, you can send a whole army with machine guns to take down one tank, and the tank will beat them. Use your common sense.

3) There are features that don't work.
Well I think this is actually true but it doesn't make the game broken, if the thief doesn't bring more or less resources, when the game says he should well, that is a problem, but you can still play the game with no problems. take it as a spelling error, is not nice, but it isn't supposed to be like that, but you still understand what people are trying to zay.

4-) I cannot find stone, wood, whatever.

The only thing I can say is that questing is very linked to the economy, its hard to play as a passive farmer in this game. you have to quest too.

Play the whole game and you will be able to build anything you want. Don't expect to build everything from day 1. This isn't designed to play in one sit, although I did do it, i beat it in one sit.

TL;DR,

This game is not for the impatient, it takes time to get used to it and to unlock everything, there are some flaws but the game is 100% playable and 200% enjoyable.

It's alright, but not very user-friendly or engaging, and quite vague. The setup for doing quests is extremely tedious, and is rarely worth it in the end. When quests fail, there is almost no information given as to why, making it a game of chance even with groups that should be far more than enough to complete a mission.

This is a little more complicated and time consuming than most newground players are willing to put in.
The start is slow and painful and doesn't really pay off even if you keep playing.
Many of the battles end in failures even if you have tons of troops and a good hero.

It could be very helpful to have a more in-depth tutorial for this game.
