Reviews for "NONDEVICER"

Mainly giving 5 stars because of all the dumb ppl who couldn't figure out you have to collect an arrow to go left or right, otherwise I'm quite bored of platformers, if I wanted to play a platformer without anything significantly original or some special theme (like spewer) or flashy graphics, weapons or something I would be playing mario, sonic, megman or metroid, sorry to say.

so when you get the arrow in the direction its pointing, you go in that direction and cant go bak. Brilliant, hav a lot of work ahead of me...

Why can't we go back?

would be better if we could walk freely. i know that it makes the game harder with the direction-arrows, but there should be something that lets us walk in each direction. also, something to duck down (down arrow) would be very helpful.

The idea of trying something new is good, but the idea of making it so you have to press a button to move in a different direction should be handled carefully and used to make interesting puzzle designs that push you. this game does not handle that idea carefully and instead dropped it accidentally into a blender. The first sage i thought was going to be an annoying zelda reference, but instead turned out to be quite funny, but the sages after him just get stupid, and not the funny stupid, but like a small child who says somebody is a fart and thinks its hilarious type of stupid. the music started to hurt my ears after about half an hour of accidentally touching direction changers and having to backtrack 3 rooms to get the right direction again. You're the same colour as the sage, and with the colour there just isnt much variety past green, yellow, 2 shades of red or blue, and the spikes being white. i couldnt finish this just because its so frustrating having to backtrack so much when instead the direction changers could be swapped with switches that lower barriers or something, so you could actually move both directions. I cant remember the amount of times i nearly gave up prior to this review due to accidentally overshooting or undershooting a platform by about one pixel and having to drop down and repeat the monotonous routine you get stuck into. The music, as mentioned before, although it keeps with the retro feel of this game, it hurts to listen to. not all retro music was just different pitches of the same sound, some had at least some variety. This game has some, but sadly the chorus of the music in this seems to be just that annoying pitch ensemble without a pause between any of the pitches, but some of it is pretty good. Overall this feels like an experiment in game maker that wasnt tested by people other than the game creator, or else somebody would have mentioned how frustrating this can get. at least though its an interesting concept, but that concept was not carried out very well at all.
