Oh, neat, another poorly-made "retro" indie platformer. There's even an "it's dangerous to go alone" joke on the first screen. Could you pander any harder?
When making a platformer, fun and responsive movement and level design should be your first priorities. Here, they seem like more of an afterthought. During your next shot, my advice would be to set aside a lot of time for playtesting and just messing around in general -- firsthand experience is valuable when polishing your mechanics.
