You know... something has to obviously be wrong if the level 5 demon spear is far superior to the level 7 demon sword. Getting the sword meant less attack, less crit, and loss of health steal for a bonus in "potion" finding. And that is just the beginning.

The game lacks intelligent design. All the levels are the same 9 rooms in the same pattern, most of the weapon drops are obsolete every time you kill a boss, there's no indication whatever stun is suppose to be, and there is absolutely no difficulty even the second time around.

And aside from that chaos is just a useless upgrade. Gem provided far more protection and so there was no reason to use chaos.

I understand that the game is suppose to rack up in difficulty, as you continue again and again (I'm guessing that's how it works?); but how difficult can any level be if you can farm rats and spirits for health and mana without any consequences? Being able to return to a room and taking on fiends and spirits just defeats the purpose of making the difficulty progress.

But aside from that why is the level 5 demon spear superior to the level 7 demon sword? Being able to go back to a prior room to get potions makes the sword's "potion find" ability obsolete, and the lack of extra damage and crit is not worth it anyway; not to mention you lose your health steal ability. I encountered this issue several times. Your items don't make sense in comparison to becoming better and neither does the final spell; I was far better off with just gem.

There seems to be just a general lack of direction in this development. You want a game that becomes difficult with each time completed; yet you provide the tools to make this a casual play through.

Aside from that the control scheme was annoying. Why you couldn't use any keys is just silly. Click to attack is click to move is hold click to block is hold click long enough to block is click in general to select an item or upgrade. That's terrible! Sure the click to move and attack is useful and blocking becoming a spell as well. But this makes the game both easier and frustrating. Easy because your shield ability leads to your defensive-spell and frustrating because trying to attack hordes of enemies you would sometimes accidentally drop a good weapon for a piece of shit lying on the ground.

Once again, what direction? If it is intentional for us to pick up useless items by accident mid-fray then what is the point? I don't remember soldiers dropping their guns for sticks in the heat of a battle or their helmets for frying-pans.

There is a great deal of potential and people will enjoy this because it is designed to easily be enjoyed, but people like me who want a challenge just find no joy in something so easy. I like good development in games. Great controls, great story, great challenges, great gameplay; but where there is potential you created a ridiculous control scheme, a lack of story, no challenge what-so-ever, and a game with no longevity.

Love it great game would be nice if you had a sequel to it like bit dungeon 2 with a storyline and other amazing stuff but its an awesome game thanks for making it!

Helluva awesome game. Keeps you enthralled with both story and loot. Multi-thumbs up!

This is one of those games that people await,an old school game with a great gameplay and very adictive.It makes you want to push foward and see whats up ahead,no matter what.
