Reviews for "Eridani RTS"

Ech...

You know, I'm fine with the mediocre graphics and art and the whole RTS concept, but I couldn't really enjoy this game because it wouldn't let me play it.

I would send a fleet of ships over and click on a building I wanted them to fire on, and some of them would shoot, some of them would fly in circles, and some of them would do absolutely NOTHING. I would go back to my base and start building a new fleet only to find that one or two of my drones had decided to bench themselves and watch the fireworks of their comrades' burning wrecks. On top of that, the enemy AI is... not great. The aforementioned layabouts would be completely sanctioned from any form of fire, and the enemy would only fire at those which were firing. In other words, the drones could walk right up to any of the bases and, so long as there wasn't any firing, they could go anywhere on the map.

I look forward to the day when RTS becomes simple enough that it can even be played in Flash games, but it's apparent to me that the day is not yet there.

Get those bugs out

very fun except for the bugs. I would tell my ships to attack something but they would all just fly around and do nothing, only 1 of 2 would listen and do what I commanded them to. Is it possible to build more commands ships also because whats is point of having mutiple planets if u can do anythingwith them.

well..

the ships don't listen for crap, horrible ai basically, should work on that

Meh it's a good start, needs LOTS of work.

Player AI is absolutely terrible, about 5-6 levels in my units are sitting there while enemies fly by to attack my base, selecting them and telling them to attack units (should NOT be required) results in them taking a few seconds to get into a comfortable position, grab a snack, come back, and decide to fire. Needless to say lots of micromanagement to keep the enemy from just coming in and ruining my base out from under my units.

Also, the fact that I have to re-research most of my research every level is absolutely terrible, if the enemy gets to start off with more and more power and aggressiveness every level (which BTW: Ishmael12, a few levels further in and the enemy sends endless streams of baddies at you... it is more annoying than strategy...), I should be able to keep my research that I spent lots of time and money on.

Pretty poor

My ships didn't seem to know the shortest path in some cases and i also had a ship drift off. there are much better games in this genre on new grounds
