Reviews for "MagnetiBall"

the idea is nice, but how come this need a high end pc? please do some optimization - that's why i give only half the stars the game might deserve

Great...

Until it started to lag out horribly. Might want to do something about that.

hmm, good idea, but...

Why no color? I mean, there's simplicity and then there's bland. This is bland. Like at least give the ball and those little spikey things a different color. And then there's the animation in the background -- it was distracting.. and when you spin the level left or right, all those bright vibrating lines just mess with your eyes. So, to improve it, I suggest removing that animated background (or just make it static?), consistent with the clean, minimalist approach that you're going for, but then add some color to make it look more fun and help the player differentiate the various game elements.

It took too long for it to get challenging... the first few levels were either really too easy or you would just get lucky, not much skill involved... and then it quickly got irritating, where the physics of the ball and the nature of the magnets seemed glitchy. Like, in one level, I was getting some weird back-spin on the ball when clicking and releasing on the magnet. Also, there's that delay in spinning/rotating the map which seems unnecessary -- you should be able to reverse the rotation mid-spin I think.

I like the rotating concept, reminds me of those little handheld games where you have to get the ball through the maze by rotating it... the magnet-ball aspect is also a good idea, but I think poorly executed. Actually, I'm sure it's all very playable and challenging, but the graphics and sound effects discourage me from continuing. Keep it up though, you're on to something.

Uh, wow.

Nice premise and all, but horrible execution. I strarted noticing a little lag later on, no biggy. But when it came to 16 it was just too laggy to play. The scary part is my computer is a decent gaming comp. Not completely brand new but runs crysis on high with decent settings and lags less. i don't understand why it's an issue when nothing aside from the ball should have physics. Can't you just get it to rotate the screen and bounding boxes and use the bounding boxes around the objects to create an animation trigger instead of using physics on them?

Another idea is rotate the LOOK of the screen, and have it change orientation of gravity, seeing as you don't have movement controls aside from rotation it wouldn't be a big deal. Granted i don't develop flash games and stick to mapping in 3D games, just throwing ideas out there that i've seen that might fix the lag issue.

It's a good concept, just needs a lot of refinement.

Great idea, love this kind of game.

I'll admit, I was pretty excited about this game. I haven't seen a good flash puzzle game in a while, and this one seemed promising. When I opened the first level, however, it was so laggy it was unplayable. I switched to low quality and did a few levels anyway (they WERE fun,) but once the levels became more difficult I could no longer put up wit the lag. Because your coder refuses to change the code, he's taking away from the overall experience. For that reason, I can only give this game a 5 out of 10. I would speak to your coder and tell him that he needs to fix it.
