Reviews for "Get Off My Planet"

great, few issues though

I love the game design, just a few problems though.

-I think that it's a little too difficult. I've been trying for the last hour but I can't seem to get a good foothold in this game before i'm destroyed. More cash income could fix this problem. I also think that some items are overpriced.
-Energy seems to go way down between waves. Why is this?
-i agree that food should be based on current population. It was a major pain building new farms
-I noticed that the price to build new buildings continued to increase even if the old buildings were destroyed. The prices should be based on the current number of buildings you have of that type, not the total number you've built.

But i'll come back and keep trying it! Needs a little more polishing IMHo though.

amazing

so addicting and fun! the only thing i really had problems with is cashflow and keeping the city alive... I think the city core has too little heath for it to be the end of the game!

sweet

excellent -- little bit of defence with some sim city thrown in, nice. I like it. And the art is wonderful..

An excellent TD/RTS

Wow. This is a really great turret defense/RTS game. You've got plenty of different units and foes, and the enemy taunting you is quite entertaining. The difficulty curve is very steep at the beginning, but it's not too bad once you get a few decent turrets... or, alternatively, get an obliterator or two. Seriously, I love those things.

Other than the difficulty curve, there were two issues I have with the game. One is that the food eaten increases with the max population, not the current. THis makes it really annoying when people are starving, but want more food. So you can get into situations where if you have a certain amount of food for a population, then that much food is incapable of feeding half that population when the city expands. Very annoying. So it would be nice if eaten was linked to current pop.

My other issue was with energy. I occasionally got it to be -50 energy/second (or whatever it measures) when it had 0 left. So yeah, there must be something off with that, since I guess it still goes down when nothing is firing. Or something I like that. Either way, it didn't matter much with obliterators (did I mention how much I love those?) but it makes lasers practically unusable.

...so yeah, a few issues, but definitely a great game. Frustrating at first due to the difficulty curve, but incredibly fun after you get past that.

Fun Game

Seems to be some bugs with clicking to restart after you lose, though. I've noticed that sometimes I can't click to place my city, or I'll start over with only $500, not $2,500. Refreshing fixes the problem.
