Reviews for "Ge.ne.sis: Alpha Demo"

good but

its a little sad that your art was wasted on an rpg id rather have seen this in a hack and slash or platformer personally and the battle system was a little hard to get to grips with but great game will definately play when the full version is completed and sent out

Wonderfull!

I really liked your demo!

One thing i noticed tho, when switching beetwen lvl 1 and 2 abilities orbs of magic where consumed, pretty weird...

Also, wonderfull music! But in the game it might be a good idea to implement battle music, soothing calm music really doesn't fit with battle...

Also, i found it irritating that you couldn't move more than once, not saying i wanted to move much farther..rather i wanted to change where i stood ><'

I REALLY look forward to the game! May you be bestowed with motivation!

Not exactly original

The writing itself was just too terrible and there was too much of an excess of it to keep me interested long enough to get anything done in the game. And unfortunately the idea itself wasn't thoroughly original. Spell-check your game and cut down the text and that annoying noise that plays every time you switch a monologue/dialogue box. Even for a demo, this is kind of embarrassing. Sorry dude.
5/10, 2/5.

Pretty good

I love the atmosphere of this, even if is a demo. Sure, the music does get repetetive, but it was a good choice (if only the clip was a little longer) and there were plenty of typos... but those were already pointed out. I didn't notice anyone mentioning the bug with the magic orb usage though: When choosing attacks before a battle begins, you'll notice that your orb pool decreases accordingly when switching to a higher level skill. However, if you change your mind and switch back, the orb count does not return to its original value. Fix this. Also, once in awhile, after selecting a level 2 skill for the first action you cannot change the other actions to level 2. I couldn't reproduce this consistently, so I can't pinpoint where the problem is.

Work on it and finish it up and you'll have yourself a great game!

Umm.....

Where's the sound of battle?
