Reviews for "The Necronomicon 2.0"

YEAH!

Damn it, it's about time someone did Lovecraft justice with a tribute such as this. I've played this game since it first appeared, and only now did I think to leave a comment. Plowking - good job.
Good graphics, creepy background music and drive-you-nuts challenges make this one wicked card game.
Any other games in the works?

Amazing!

The number of different cards is great. I suppose the library could be expanded a little bit, but it is better than having hundreds of cards to deal with. The game is much easier to pick up and enjoy this way.

What I'd like to see changed, however, are insanity penalties. I want to see punishments that reflect insanity; not being in full control of your moves. The penalty that only lets you choose from 2 cards is good, but I'd like to see others, such as not being able to read your cards every other turn or for X turns, skipping turns, or generating random values for cards you play.

ash: CLATTA... VERATTA... NIC-*cough* *cough*

wiseman: did you say the sacred words?

ash: i said most of them!

wiseman: you doomed us all! The army of the dead awoke!

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHH

F^CK YOUR F^CKING BULLSH^T!!!!
You need luck to beat this game?? OMFG NO WAY!?!?!?!

I ran a tally on a sh^tload of games, and WTF kind of coding is this, you get your opponent below half health and he pulls +14 cards.. all f^cking day long. How often do i get a +14 card, 1 per every 5-10 of his.

F^ck you and f^ck this game!

now I am going back to playing it.

Plowking74 responds:

Just bad luck man, you and CPU have the same deck. I'm thinking of toning down the life giving cards too.

Great game but...

I love this game and have played both versions. The only thing I would change is I think you went a little to far in rolling back the health cards. Looking forward to later versions!
