Yes, sadly it is true. Fred the Monkey has been banished from Wikipedia (apparently moreso because of this cartoon than anything!). I personally am okay with it, and don't really care, but I'm concerned about the people who will honestly give up their dreams and goals if they are met with the kind of harsh and demeaning comments that I faced when Fred was up for deletion. That just isn't right to me, which is why I made the cartoon.
Anyway, glad you liked the animation, and thanks for writing a review!

Uncyclopedia.net. If that's not the website, google it. That's where mock entries that Wikipedia don't accept belong. People use Wikipedia for info, Uncyclopedia for humor. Don't mix them up, people.

Well I'm glad to see there are other people out there putting effort into showing the flaws of Wikipedia. As one with parody close to my heart, I thought they did a great job.

Nice animation, but...
Wikipedia is controlled by the people who visit it, not the owners of the site. If all the people visiting the site looking for real, academic information think an entry about a website is useless, it will be deleted.
You're already ON THE INTERNET, just make you're own "About This Site" page on your website. Why would anyone look you up in Wikipedia anyway? They can find all the info they need by just watching some of your animations...

See, I don't care if I'm in Wikipedia or not. What I am against is the way they go about telling people they are "useless". With a little more care, they could easily inform people to "keep working" instead of saying "You fail" when some of these people never even asked to be judged.
I have no problem with Fred the Monkey being deleted from Wikipedia. Only the method the people took to do it.
