The fact that he managed to claw himself out of a life of poverty and become well-respected in the ballet world wasn't satisfying? What did you want, for him to go and fight crime with super dancing powers?

Don't know why when my friends retented it at the video store the box said it was a comedy, it had some subtle humor but other than that it was a depressing movie overall.

It's not a comedy by any means, but that doesn't mean it's "retarded". I thought it was a decent film. Not one of my favourites, but something I could respect for what it was, at any rate.

Oh I like him.

Anyways, I saw Chasing Amy for the first time. It's the best Kevin Smith film i've seen, although I havn't seen Clerks yet, but i'm guessing it's not as good.

Does anyone like Mallrats? I find it to be Kevin Smith's worst. Bad filming, coupled with a fair bit of shitty sub par acting from Jeremy London (Where's Brandi? So where's Brandi?), Jason Mewes, Ben Affleck, Brian O'Halloran and Claire Forlani. Jason Lee was brilliant, and Stan Lee's performance was very well done. Hooker was pretty good, and Joey is always a pleasure, especially her nice small titties, nooch.

Ethan Suplee was downright horrible.

"Now I have to start, AAAAALLL OOOOOOOVER AGAAAAAAAAIN."

But despite all of that shit, it's commercial look, it's bad acting, it's still great. Jason Lee's rants were fantastic and the Jay And Silent Bob material was all excellent. It's truely a fucking cult comedy. They wanted a smart Porky's, but they got something even better.

If I had to rank the Askewniverse pictures, it would have to go something like this:

1. Chasing Amy
2. Dogma
3. Strike Back
4. Mallrats
5. Clerks II

Clerks II was fine, don't get me wrong. Randall was hilarious, and the whole donkey scene was classic. Jay And Silent Bob didn't get many lines, but they were still good. And atleast Ethan wasn't so bad.

I have no idea how i'm supposed to see Clerks, it pretty much doesn't exist in Australia.

While I was writing that last post, I missed Dogma on television. It's alright, it's on again at 3 in the morning. I'm going to tape it. But now I have to rant.

I think Pulp Fiction was great. But I have a major problem in it. It's storyline.... I don't like it. I mean, I feel no sense of accomplishment after viewing it, it's just a bunch of shit that happens, for no better or for no worse. I don't give a fuck if Bruce Willis stabbed a guy in the back, saved him from mid-rape and then they were all cool. Who the fuck would? It doesn't emote to me, I am left feeling very unmoved.

Pulp Fiction. Shit that happened. That's no movie, A Clockwork Orange worked because he was stripped of normality. He chooses an abstract, captivating lifestyle, becomes stripped of freedom in prison, then is released unable to perform normally as he used to. THAT is a story. A chick snorting heroin and overdosing, but being brought back to life and told not to tell anyone it ever happened; THAT IS NOTHING.

The dialogue, nonlinear storyline and postmodernism influence I find all to be fine, but to me sir, Pulp Fiction just doesn't mother fucking work. It's pure nothing. Shit that happened. That's all it is.

You know, after watching Dogma, I think I have to reorganise that list.

1. Chasing Amy
2. Strike Back
3. Clerks II
4. Dogma
5. Mallrats

Anyone know what Stephen King's "Mist" is about?

I am thinking of seeing it.. I usually like the film representation of Stephen King book (especially Green Mile) but I'm worried that this will be another "Happening"

What happened? This crew used to be so happy...

Just watched: Wall-e

Loved everything about it much like most of Pixar's work. The art, animation, story, acting, all that stuff. It was a bit cheesy at the end but, it's a Disney movie so it's forgiven. Half the movie was a futureistic Castaway. Which is awsome. Go watch this. now.

America. Ghettos. Walmart. NFL. Internet. Slavery. Starbucks. Disney World. Porno. Fake tits. Sushi. Taco Bell. Rodeo. Christmas. Pop-Eye. Books. Sportsmanship. Fuck yeah.

watched another movie last night....

4 Luni, 3 Saptamâni si 2 Zile (4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 Days) (2007)

This is the first Romanian film I've ever seen. It was okay. It really dragged and some scenes should have been cut short a bit.

Hey guys, any of you seen Hellboy 2 : The Golden Army yet?

I plan to see it but i need to know whether it's good or bad. I dont wanna waste 9 bucks on tickets, 4 bucks on popcorn and 3 bucks on drinks just to see a crappy movie.

I love movies, but i dont think i have time for another club. And i think i make a pretty crappy member too.

Watched a few movies over the past few days;

Bank Job (8/10)
Great film, highly reccomended.

Run Fatboy Run (8/10)
Despite what several critics have said, this films worth a watch. More romantic than Pegg's previous films, but not overly so.

Goodfellas (9/10)
Classic. Probably the best Gangster film I've ever seen (although I've yet to watch The Godfather).

The Hitcher (7/10)
Not bad, some interesting twists here and there.

War (7/10)
Decent, but nothing spectacular. Early parts seemed promising, the ending let it down a bit.

Shoot 'Em Up (9/10)
Absoloutley brilliant. Again, ignore the critics, over the top gun shooting and witty one liners. Fucking win!

Million Dollar Baby (8/10)
Good, but not as moving as people would have you think. I prefered Cinderella Man personally.

My main interest in Wolverine is that they are going to have Deadpool in it, who is by far the coolest comic charater ever. But yeah can't wait for this one.

Thanks, I hope to get a carrer in the film industry later in life, either as a writer or a director.

Deer Hunter wasn't to great a movie for me in my opinion. I made the mistake of thinking that this movie was about the Vietnam war, when it is more about the effects that the war had on the people in America during the war and the effects on soldiers after the war.

Only about 1/3 of this movie is in vietnam and this movie is long as hell aswell. Perhaps I would be more appreciative of this film if I was an american or if I was alive when the war was happening.

Nethertheless, this film was a bit of a dissopiontment to me, if anything, watch it for the russain roulette scenes. Or if you want a more actiony Vietnam flick, watch Full Metal Jacket, if you have already seen it, then watch it again.

Favorites (so far)

- Lord of the Rings trilogy
- Wall-E (saw it recently and was blown away)
- The Comedians of Comedy: The Movie
- Spiderman 1 & 2 (waiting to see 3)
- Toy Story
- Wayne's World

I'm sure there are more but, I'll think of them later

But i didnt enjoy the storyline. I mean, seriously? Is that the best you got?

The last scene was pretty awesome though. " It's you! Handjob!"

Yeah, i loled hard at that one.
