Megadeth is the featured article today on Wikipedia.

Man, I have totally fallen out of listening to music, let alone metal. I tried to revive my Zune that's been out of use for over a year, maybe two years. Got a new sync cable and plugged it in. Sadly, that battery is dead for good. I wonder if it's worth it to order a battery and try to put it in myself. Dang, if I had only gotten that cable way sooner it might still work. I had over 10,000 songs on it. Luckily, I still have all my music saved on my external hard drive. I gotta get a new one, though cuz it's almost out of space.

I didn't know they covered that, too. Agent Steel did a good cover of it.

I'm honestly not big enough of a Maiden fan to make a list.

Ordered a Black Tusk hoodie from Relapse that has the cover of Set The Dial on the back of it. Pretty sweet looking and only cost $20 WITH shipping.

Indeed they did. Blaze Bayley is singing and I honestly prefer it over the original.

Hmm not bad.

I'd say me too but that's be coming from someone who had considered getting Eddie from Powerslave as a tattoo haha.

Forefather - Three Great Ships

An awesome black/folk (viking?) metal band that I haven't seen discussed in here very often... if ever. Amazing band, really! Some of you guys could really enjoy this.

Also, general black/folk discussion.

I'm new to Metal. I recently got into Metallica. I'm now practically gay for them.

Guide my soul through Metal Hell. I want to know the most recommended Metallica albums (I plan to listen to all of them eventually, but I wanna start off with a few of the fan favorites, I guess).

*New Supergroup*
Devil's Highway. The members are as follows:
Kyle Thomas (Trouble) vocalist
Ralph Santolla (Deicide) guitarist
Matt Brunson (Crowbar) guitarist
Steve DiGiorgio (Testament) bassist
and Tony Laureano (Dimmu Borgir) drummer

They're releasing an album thats expected to come out sometime next year. But if you want to listen to a song they've released off of it, check here.

My buds in Depremacy have recently gotten their bassist/vocalist back and are going to be opening for Overkill Sunday.

I'd say the only Metallica you should listen to is their first 4 albums.
So - Kill Em' All, Ride The Lightning, Master Of Puppets, and ...And Justice For All.

Favorite tracks off each
KEA - Motorbreath
RTL - Creeping Death
MOP - Orion
AJFA - This is tough cause it's my favorite 'tallica album. So I'd say either Blackened, One, or Dyers Eve

The self titled was decent.

Like the other guys said, the first four albums are their best. The self-titled is also decent, and I, for one thing, believe that Death Magnetic has a few good moments.

Ya know, all day yesterday I was listening to the first 8 Sabbath albums from Black Sabbath to Never Say Die and I honestly gotta say, I don't understand why Technical Ecstasy and Never Say Die get so much crap. Seriously Technical Ecstasy has some pretty good songs on it. Rock N Roll Doctor, You Wont Change Me, Dirty Women.... And Never Say Die has the title track, A Hard Road, Shock Wave, Air Dance, Swinging The Chain, and Junior's Eyes. And for the Ozzy Sabbath albums I think like half of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is good and the other stuff could have been a lot better and that I felt they were "missing" something there and it just came back on Sabotage, partly went away again on Technical Ecstasy, stayed that way on Never Say Die, and then Ozzy was out and we got Dio. The Dio Sabbath stuff is good. But it's a different beast than what Ozzy Sabbath was. Same with Tony Martin. And Tony Martin Sabbath is really good too but I almost never see anyone talking about anything other than Dio and Ozzy when it comes to Sabbath. Which is a shame since Dio was only with em for 3 albums (really only like Heaven And Hell and kinda like Mob Rules) and Tony Martin was with them for 5.
Just my 2 cents.

It is. I wont deny that. But I honestly think it's overplayed and too many people only tend to know Metallica for JUST that or JUST Enter Sandman when they have 9 albums and are constantly bouncing back around saying they are and then saying they're not recording a 10th album and then saying they're writing songs and then going to say they have like 724723545245 riffs but only one song that may or may not be on their upcoming album that'll come out before the end of the century in it's current form.
Personally I think Lords Of Summer is a decent song and kinda hope the new album has more songs like that and try going for a thrashier Death Magnetic but...yeah. Kinda went off on my own thing but whatever.
