Well, those gaps you saw on the BBS were a glitch where the spaces where the mods and admins post snarky commentary about the regular ol' posts (and posters) on the BBS were showing up to all users for some reason.

Normally those gaps are only visible to admins and mods, and of course they have the text of said commentary. Good thing the glitch didn't lead to all that text being visible, too! Just the gaps. Whew...
