Even more familiar folks on the most recent deposits list, this time from 20030918, less than a month later. But the formatting on NG changed in the interim.

Note: this was also during the "PimpMaster_Dog" theme-following times.... all modeled after the great PimpMasterKDOG original, of course. G = me, J = Joe, K = the original, of course.

There was a really, really great thread on NG back in spring of 2003... yes, I know... that's hard to believe nowadays. It mostly featured hilarious MS Paint-drawn battles between Heretik (famed flash artist and longtime BBS poster at that time as well) and batard (I honestly don't remember him doing much except... that one thread #;-}>).... and I had to join in.

Here's me presenting Heretik with a sword he needed to defeat batard with on 20030331.

An amusing pic of me threatening some dude I don't even remember with bannination for a non-crime. I kinda remember this. I typed out a ban reason, of course I didn't actually ban him, but then I posted the screenshot and the guy was kinda worried after that. Hilarious. From 20040327.

Thanks to gfox for all the great screenshots he's posted on page 6! There's some real nice ones in there, so thanks for the effort to find them all, and trying to get the older ones from your other computer. <3

I got a few I like to share. First are the theoretical whistles by Poxpower.

To gfox, do you still have that .gif of that countdown from when the voting systems was realigning to fit 200 votes from 150 votes. I can't recall too much of the details but I recall it was an HUGE newgrounds involvement on everybody's part at the time, to mass vote on ALL the existing flash submissions to integrate the new voting count.

This is a p-bot parody (possibly the first) by Poxpower in 2003. This and the next image were created out of fun/spite. In a time when newly formed clubs were created, a few users got together; Hulk, aviewaskewed, Poxpower, Me, Star_Clever, etc...(many who became mods after the club's end) joined together and created the club-a-club-a-club as a bit of satire.

Actually, I do. I wasn't going to post it because I didn't think it was very visually interesting, and too few people from that time would be around to even know what it was all about, but since you ask, I'll post it a little later on.

Hey, I was kinda in that club. I don't remember ever talking with you there, though. Mostly avie, Poxy, and Star Cleaver.

I was in it AFTER I was modded, however, unlike the rest of youse who were in it PRIOR to being modded. #;-}>

By popular (er....) demand, here's the pic from the 200-vote-UJ-conversion process.

BTW, it wasn't 150 to 200 votes, it was 100 to 200 votes. Before we all helped get all the 15,000+ movies in the portal that had 100-200 votes up to 200 votes.... 100 votes was the UJ mark needed for saving a movie.

Argh, I hadn't looked at that one closely since the weekend when I unearthed all of these and started posting them early Sunday morning.

That's not one of the "tied in exp" screenies, though I do have those (not on my backup CD, sadly, since it's just 2003-2004 stuff... and the tied in exp stuff is from 2006, IIRC)....

It's a "NG's XTNL lag" demonstration, showing that not only did NG sometimes think Pimp and HT were tied when Pimp was 10 exp behind HT... but sometimes when he was 20 exp behind him, too!
