Just a suggestion though, if you want following MACs and their rules to come off as serious, I'd cut all the silly shit. It would be fine if the prize was just a sig like in the old days, but you are dealing with cash prizes now.

I'm not sure what you refer to as "silly shit"? As for NG sponsored award, we've been fortunate to have that since the MAC6 - October... I think we've stuck with the rules pretty tight throughout all of the shows we've had, and joking around in the threads aside, things have been pretty serious, no?
If you do have any complaints, feel free to shout em out, flaws are meant to be fixed.

I'm lucky I was able to get to a computer when I did, I just got mine fixed. But I was able to enter.

The fact that you'd get angry enough to withdraw your submissions is proof that you DID want that extra shot at that prize. Your statement about "it would be okay for just the banner" prize i'm pretty sure is bull.

If you spent so much time on that piece, and it's not in this contest for a shot at a meager 150, then go ahead and get it signed, make even more money off it. I must be honest i'm not seeing where all this anger is coming from. Principle? Well we've stuck to our principle, we put these deadlines for a reason, and we will stick by them.

You know what? Keep them. If you don't want to let us hear it, we don't want them period. You're not doing anybody any favors by submitting material, nobody is holding a gun to your head and telling you to submit them. As much as we audio artists like to think we provide an invaluable experience, there is a million artists who do what we do. Taking away your tracks makes as much an impact as removing your fist from a bowl of water, a second of shifting, followed by an eternity of indifference.

Best of luck with getting them signed though. I mean that, seriously!

umm hate to nag but darkside just because you for some reason think my songs are stolen why should i be excluded from the competition its note like you have any proof. if need be i will send you the files in there original format.

you'd actually be surprised how little labels pay, dnb labels at that. I removed the songs not because I didn't want you to hear them, but because offering a direct download would minimize my chance of making any money at all.

Plus, now I have all the time in the world to work on them instead of rushing ;)
