From now on I'd prefer if anyone with simple questions and /or tutorial requests would try to keep those in a different thread, or by PMing someone you'd like to help you.

If people keep posting that stuff here, things will get cluttered.

Thank you ^_^.

vCam in AS3

I didn't make this but I think it may be very useful to put down as I haven't seen another vCam in AS3 out.

I've got some pretty advanced AS3 / Flex 3 articles/tutorials/code at Pixelwelders. Typically not for beginners, though.

Here is some seriously technical links for advanced people (good reads for non flex users, but largely pointless for those without Flex).
A view under the hood of the cool new profiler from flex Surprise for Flash users: It is part of the player, not the Flex IDE!
How to roll your own preloader in Flex, but without the Flex framework
The trick to getting embedded SWF files in Flex to behave properly Something I actually wrote myself. Yes, it is a code dump, but it is also a step by step instruction in how to perform this specific activity. No, it does not explain why things is done the way they are. It is for serious people who can figure that out by themselves, once they see the code.

Each time someone abuses hittest, God kills a kitten. Please, learn real collision testing.

That "Stop Coding!" blog is looks like it'll be a REALLY good resource. Thanks for that, henke.

A while ago I had posted a thread intended to go here on Closures in AS3. I didn't post it here, but it's here:

Closures in Actionscript 3

At the time of posting, I thought they were more of a 'gee whiz' sort of thing, but I've actually found them very useful several times since then. They might take a minute to wrap your head around and may look a little weird at first, they can actually make your code look and read much more simply when appropraitely placed.

I'll probably write another quick one in a little while.
