8 rankups this time, compared to 14 and 7 and 11 and 16 and 6 and 7 and 7 the last seven times. 6 are on both lists, the other 2 are only on this list.

In an interesting twist, ramagi seems to have asked one of the admins (or else they did it spontaneously!) to slightly alter her blams and protects. Her blams dropped 100 from 22,763 to 22,663 and her saves rose 100 from 13,237 to 13,337. I have a feeling the 13337ness was the reason. #;-}>

I'm not going to have many more rankups to celebrate with a top 50 list update, yanno.

In fact, just ONE, to be exact. EGSC.

So, I felt like updating. That IS when this list gets updated, after all, when I feel like it.

A 5-6 day update, I might add, is a lot easier for me to do. Even though I was feeling really drowsy during the update (hope there were no glaring mistakes, BTW), it only took me 2 hours to do. Compared to 3 hours+ when it's been 2 weeks or so since the last one.

More time = more chaos on the list.

Nice short list update = simple to do, and buys me some time.

Now I won't be updating it again until February.

So, enjoy the update while you can. It may not show much change, but it does show some. I should put off the next update for a month just to give you the massive "changes" you want. #;-}>

Additionally, I should point out that I didn't put PZY on this list last update, like he should have been. Mistake now fixed (it's often the people who are NOT on either list that I'm scanning for making one list or the other. Even though I'd gotten PZY's data for the blam list, I completely missed that his save amount was high enough for this list last update until a day or so later. Hence his inclusion this update)

no, he should have been around #46 last update. Like I said, I didn't notice his saves were high enough for this list when I last updated the blam list (on the 15th), so he didn't get put on when he should have.

Well, of course theoretically it's possible, and if he continues his current rates, it's in fact probable...

but his rates DO change. Once he made EGSC he slowed for a bit, and once he passed ramagi he slowed for a bit. I think he's been moving fast lately because he was approaching 40,000 and now he's passed it. After awhile, with no pressure from anything, he's going to slow down again.

But anyway, my main reason for thinking he won't get to 100k is that I think the b/p system will probably change by then. But we'll see. #;-}>

i have been struggling to get save points, the ratio is now like 1save for every 5blams! is anyone else knowing this?

I hear ya, man.

in the past week or so, I've gained 500 blams and only 200 saves.

So not quite the 1/5 ratio you're talking about, but 2/5, which isn't much better. I like to at LEAST average half as many saves as blams, but... it's not quite happening right now.

Yeah ! It's getting harder and harder. And I'm very proud of the numbers of Saves I have. Compared to the rest of the people that have as many as me, they either have HUGE mass amounts of blam points, and I only have a normal amount of them.
But I do know I have loads of Saves.
And yeah, it's getting very hard ! There is so many crap and resubmitted stuff going on through the portal, but hey, after all, it does makes us happy all these Blam points, and it just makes the system work.

nearly 14400 blams and 12100 saves.

2300 difference now. It won't be long before I have 3000 more blams than saves. Sad, sad, sad.

Well, I dunno about making us "happy." It gets us towards the next rank and all, but... right about now I'd trade 1000 of my blams for 500 extra saves, personally. But that's the way the portal crumbles.

My blam count is getting close to 2,000 more than my save count very rapidly. I forget when exactly I made a post noting the difference, possibly in the blam topic. I wouldn't say I've been getting less saves (in fact I seem to have been getting more relatively speaking, but that's probably just an illusion, as getting blams is so, well, commonplace) though.

Beh. You're desperate for listage, though. If I lost 500 overall points, I'd barely drop below 26,000. I'm in no danger of being passed by people nor would that even make me go back down to Lt General.

Of course, I'd rather trade 1000 blams for 1000 saves, but I was trying to make a point of how much I wish the good stuff that'd been in the portal around Christmas would have continued all the way through January.
