Chapter 7: The Fated Meeting
Part 1
Takada stood there ready to answer him when suddenly, an insanely bright light flashed. Everyone stood paralyzed, and the world was so bright that no one could see anything for nearly 10 seconds. Takada heard two ninja's get killed and another one got kicked through a wall. When the lights receded Takada had a cloth pressed to his face and he blacked out less than a moment later.
He woke some time later, in some sort of underground lair (not too surprising since most of Nappoko is underground...). The room was pitch black and he could feel the air pressure pushing in on him. It felt extremely dense, like he was underwater, but could breath.
The door opened directly in front of Takada. He was in some sort of glass cage. The whole room was tinted blue, and it was then, he realized that he was floating in some sort of liquid. His mouth was hooked up to a respirator. The air he breathed was pure and smelled like oxygen. The man that opened the door walked in and took some notes on Takada. He wore a white lab coat with the Shiroinin Clan symbol on it (Shinji's clan).
Takada then realized where he was. His clan had three secret hideouts/headquarters. One was in Konoha, and the other two were secret. This one must be in Nappoko. Sometimes it was nice to be born into a good family.
He saw the scientist push a button on the wall. The lights turned on and Takada saw the room. Rinn was in the tank next to him, and another tank was empty on his right. There was a door in front of him, and a lab bench next to it. There were single eyes in jars along one wall and some other body parts. He then felt the liquid in his tank receding. He fell to the bottom, completely numb.
The glass lifted up, and he eventually was able to stand. The scientist looked at him condescendingly.
Scientist: Hi Takada. Thanks for tracking down Shinji. He owed us some money. We were able to extract his assets and him after that little scuffle you two had. Your friend is almost down healing. His bioplasm was hard to produce since his genes are part plant, but we did it before he dies on us. You're lucky we were there. What were you doing there anyways?
Takada: We were sent by the Hokage to infiltrate his organization. Apparently he knew you guys were going to attack.
Scientist: Haha, that's classic planning by him. The Hokage is truly genius. He is able to infer much from our yearly reports. Well, we got Shinji's body and we analyzed his Kekkai Genkai disabling technique. Apparently, he just sends a very short burst of chakra through one's systems, disabling the chakra to reach the Kekkai Genkai nerve. Only newer Kekkai Genkai have such distinguished nerves, so you would've been safe from that.
Takada noticed that Rinn was out of his tank and standing at this point.
Rinn: What the fuck happened? My jaw is so sore...
He rubbed his jaw and sat down on a chair. The scientist offered a chair to Takada, but he refused.
Takada: I want my clothes.
Scientist: They were destroyed in the fight we had with Shinji. We'll make you some more advanced ones. The only thing that survived were some seeds in a special bag that belonged to your partner.
Rinn: Thank god.
He took the seeds off the lab bench and summoned his bandages back. He slowly put them on as the scientist explained the clothes being made for Takada and Rinn.
Scientist: For you Takada, we're making kunai resistant, camouflage white robes. They'll blend in easier when you use techniques, and are equipped with some useful scrolls and weapons that you are used to using, as well as ultralight kunai and shuriken. For you, Rinn, we're developing some very special clothes. These are chakra enabled, and since you are constantly absorbing energy from your surroundings, we decided to amplify that. Your powers work better when you receive more light and heat energy. We made clothes that look like your old ones, but with special chakra enabled nanotechnology. Basically, they're lighter, stronger, and will amplify your Kekkai Genkai. We're pouring tons of money in these, so we expect both of you to give us your prize money in full after the tournament.
Rinn: When are they gonna be ready?
Scientist: Two weeks. Until then, you two should train with our resident sensei. He's pretty good.
Part 2
Tai woke up at dawn, and saw Lee already making breakfast. After they both ate and got ready, Lee threw him his pack, and put his own on.
Lee: I owe some people some stuff in Nappoko, so we'll go there to train. They have pretty good supplies for our training.
Lee started walking and Tai followed. For two days straight, with no stops, they walked. By the end, Tai was exhausted.
Tai: Are we there yet?
Lee stomped on the ground.
Lee: Not yet.
This continued for hours until Lee apparently found the perfect place to stop. He did so, stomped one time to make sure, and took out a scroll. He read something, and then told Tai to come stand next to him. Before they knew it, they were shooting underground in some sort of elevator. When they got out, they found themselves in a completely white, small, underground Lobby. It had some sort of weird clan symbol on it, and a ninja greeted them.
Lee: Take us to Genju Sensei. I have some business to take care of.
Ninja: Of course, Lee-sama.
And the ninja led them away.
