There was no reason for you to say that. Why did you? Stop pointlessly shouting at people, thats what I do.

Hey anyone here like BERSERK? Should I get into it? I like the art.

I think I will try to buy the manga by Darkhorse...

Anyone have any DH manga? How's the quality? Do they censor?

Dark Horse does the Hellsing manga, and the Megatokyo one. Is good stuff. If they censored Hellsing, I'd kill to get my hands on an uncensored.

DarkHorse has the Trigun manga. (I have the first two Trigun mangas) I give it a "Kakashi Thumbs Up"! I don't know if you mean nudity censor, or cursing censor... well, I like their manga, although I only have one series from them. =)

I mean both and any other unnessesary manipulation that messes with the story or artwork... I personally would spend more if a publisher would leave the special colored pages printed in it's original form.

DH Doesn't do that unfortunately.

Well, I'm pretty sure that Trigun doesn't include nudity, and I'm also pretty sure that they don't censor "bad words". So, no censors methinks.

I haven't seen any of that in the Trigun manga I've read. So, no 'unnessesary manipulation that messes with the story or artwork' methinks.

That's a good question... I guess because I'm a fan of the artwork and I tried to watch the first episode of Breserk but it was boring and found myself more entertained by the comic. I don't know why plus I'm tired of getting into anime that is cut short and the only way to figure out what happened is to read the manga. It's sad but that goes for Ranma as well. I'm trying to finish reading the whole thing. I've got 3 more volumes to go...

>:( I know that as soon as i'm done reading it Takahashi will anounce the release of a new Ranma OAV... That's ok anyway by now I don't care if I know what's going to happen. .. Cox will just ruin it for me anyway... with my luck he will still be interested in the lead role just as he's interested in every lead role. ;(

So yeah, I watched the first Saiyuki DVD a few days ago. Good storyline, good characters, but it upholds the anime stereotype of terrible animation.

I heard the Wolfwood was Chapel in the manga... But that could just be my old man smell kicking in.

**SPOILER**
Chapel is his codename as a member of the Gung-ho guns. I'm pretty sure they mentioned that in the anime as well.

His name is Chapel the Evergreen, and to be blunt I really don't get the Gun-Ho-Guns way of making these names. First off, I though Chapel was the guys' first name, and Evergreen was what he was. Like Kain the Longshot. Kain was his first name, and he was a longshot.

(Oh and Chapel doesn't really kill him on purpose. I like to say, since it's the truth, that Legato forced Chapel into killing Wolfwood after Wolfwood finally decided to show mercy on someone. That bastard.)

I actually think Legato is the most evil villian I've ever known. Perphaps this is only appartent due to his contrast to Vash, but he's still an evil bastard (SPOILER) who gives his own life to ruin that of another.

Response to Anime Club 2004-06-22 00:37:53

Actually, I feel Legato sets some sort of strange moral with his ways. It's kind of hard to explain, but it's there, if you look enough...

Legato is very evil. He has that creepy evil, one that you would never want to mess with. And it only heightens on episode 15, when he fights all of those gang members.

to save is to kill, to kill is to save, legoto thinks that if he gets rid of the human race, there could be peace. witch is true but i dont want to have it that way.

Response to Anime Club 2004-06-22 01:01:25

I guess he doesn't have evil INTENT due to he lack of respect for human life, but he just so cold about it too. What I want to know is how he got himself involved with Knives.

cuz knives thinks the same, didnt u pick up on all this when he killed the spider that was gonna kill the butterfly?

Response to Anime Club 2004-06-22 01:15:13

In order to save the butterfly, you must kill the spider. If you were to save them both, the spider would die from hunger. -Knives Millions

There is a lot of logic in that right there. It also shows just how fucked up Knives' mental system is.

"After all, you're only human."

Thomas Paine. Smart guy. Found it right before a quote from the Koran...

"All people are a single nation."

I guess Al Quaida doesn't read. >:(

But that's just an observation. I won't get into that. ;(

And Mohammed, the prophet of Islam, taught his people not to harm "the people of the Book (the Bible)," but Muslims have fought Cristians and Jews for over 500 years. If Jesus, Moses, and Mohammed were all alive today, they would be ashamed.
