I watched the first episode of Shugo Chara Party! on Friday and I have to say I was somewhat disappointed.
They've cut the actual anime episodes in half so they can fill the rest of the time slot with plotless Flash animations of Ran, Miki, Sue and Dia and useless commentary from the Shugo Chara Egg! girls (they're still holding an audition for their fourth position, so that's what they primarily talked about).
But I'm still glued to it :P

Other than that, I watched a couple of episodes of Skip Beat! and was disappointed. I thought it was going to be like Kirarin Revolution but I was wrong.

What did you think of the animation though?

Why did you find it boring?

I found it boring because it was boringly written and directed.

The animation was fine, but wasn't impressive enough to counter the bad things about it.

I've been watching SyFy's Ani-Monday, since it's the only new anime I can find on TV, and it's a little disappointing. The Street Fighter and Voltron Motion Comics are okay considering the format, but the anime series, Monster, just doesn't appeal to me. Every character seemed unlikable, so I couldn't bear to watch all the way through episode 1.

I personally like Monster but I know what you're saying, it is a bit bleh in the beginning. I've started watching Gantz online and so far it seems entertaining. I read the manga some time back but left it hanging, not because I didn't like it or anything, and I can't remember where.

The creators of the anime they ripped off (including animation producers and Pony Canyon), as well as us fans.

I'm a fan of SZS, and I don't mind. I mean, it's a kids show in Thailand. To me, funny ideas are pretty fair game, except if you make profit that surpasses the original. And in that, K-On isn't at risk.

I mean holy hell, best selling blu-ray Anime DVD right after its relese. I have lost all faith in the buying public. And KyoAni, though there wasn't much faith to begin with. TrollAni, moar liek.

I only saw part of the first episode of Monster. The first thing that came to my mind was that the artwork was a little off-putting. Then my attention span failed me and I did something else. The fact that the show is over 70 episodes long certainly doesn't help motivate me to watch it.

I'll check out Read or Die soon, probably. The movie can be watched on Netflix. gonna do that through my X Box. Then I'll rent the series if I like the movie. er, wait. guess it's 3 OVAs, not a movie. Then I hope Netflix lets you watch all three.

The Netflix anime library is terrible. I think they should add more titles before I kill someone. Also, I can't seem to find a reason why anyone would consider watching another episode of RoD after surviving the first. I wanted to put a bullet in my head after watching that.

Watched Gotham Knight, wasn't as awesome as I thought it would be(only 3 stories or so were top notch). But I don't see how it could be viewed as boring.

That show gets more interesting after the first episodes, but still quite inconsistent.
For example, theres a part where Tenma gets captured by a bunch of Neo-nazis, and another where Johan manipulates a bunch of kids to fight to death on top of tall buildings. Many of the episodes are boring, but still a show worth watching overall.

Very creative response my good sir. But seriously, can anyone explain to what they actually see in RoD?

Read the first volume of the manga. At least give it a try because it really is a great series. The story is one of a kind.

Its not because you didn't agree with me, its because you can't seem to generate a response that can be considered a counter point. I asked what you saw in the series and you replied by calling me a smug prick. Your vocabulary is quite extensive, if I do say so myself.

Haha, you actually do right about now.

Personally I thought RoD was great fun(Both the series and the OVA's). It's unique, the soundtrack has a great jazz feel to it, and the characters were quite memorable.

I can't help but wonder why you dislike the series so, there really isn't anything to hate about it.

The best reason I can think of is the plot. To me it made next to know sense. It also doesn't help that I watched it dubbed, so I was forced to listen to beyond terrible voice work. I do admit the animation was smooth and the action scenes were memorable, but it just didn't cut it for me.
