Yes. You need to be at least an Elite Guard Private, which requires 2,500 B/P and need to have a good posting history.

I let it slide. It was only a very minor part, and I didn't see any penetration. I think it's alright; Tom meant a porn slide show as something of just hardcore porn, not just a pic that was meant to be funny.

I get it was meant to be funny, but NG is legally obligated to NOT have porn showing penetration at all in it. I'm talking they can get fined for this type of thing no matter how minor or if it was meant to be funny.

And if you pause you can see of the left in the smaller pics there is DEFINITELY penetration.

It's still happening. The amount of blams I've received today: 3. That's it. At least the 5-happy mentality is breaking, and people are coming to their senses.

I am waiting for orders !!!

Keep diligent, vote fairly, flag the spam, and report any spammers to the forum in the thread provided.

You can read my news post on my site for more details.

Also, here's a:

DEFCON Update:

Clock Day effects are subsiding, but are still present in a big way. We need to keep alert to make sure flash is voted on fairly. I am, however, reducing the DEFCON to DEFCON 2. The DEFCON reduction reflects the slowing of the influx of flash. Note, however, the protect-happy mentality of the user base is still there, and spammers are currently rampant on the Portal.

Take all precautions necessary and user your power to give those flashes a fair vote! Move out! Hooah!

it's the new system they've cooked up, that and all the n00b users who are still learning the basics of B/P and vote five on basically everything. As for me I got 10 blams yesterday and 250 or so saves. That should set off an alarm in my head. I'm not getting in my starpace mode anymore thanks to damned school.

Well, I have to go to bed soon, pre algebra is tommorrow... Ugh... D:

Sounds like I missed an absolute pile of crap as usual, and as I had a very nice time down in Devon seeing various relatives I'm not going to complain that I missed SO MANY points (espeically as I wouldn't have got that many anyway by the sound of things- I love my blam button too much).

Hopefully Wade will clean up the mess over the next few days, that many alts is just ridiculous. Maybe he will take that dreadful Slash out with them, he's making me nervous geting that many points in one day...

I'll be around, but I'm having far too much fun going out with mates and getting drunk, plus my addiction to this site is well and truly gone now that I have better things to do...

If you take a look at the scores as time goes on, they are steadily decreasing. This is indicating that what we are doing is working, and that it is only a matter of time at this point before we crack the "spell" of Clock Day.

It's very soul destroying to see that I've only gotten a whole 3 saves over the past 3 days and that they all came yesterday!

At 8/16/07 02:28 PM, SlashFirestorm wrote: Using alts to bypass 2-per-day submission limit.

There's got to be some way of getting around this loophole... *consults law books*

Well, the problem is that a lot of people assume that they're sure to pass, and thus vote for the protect point. We're not powerful enough to override that...not yet, anyway...but we're a start.

That tide will turn, we are making some leaway into the numbers, that's for sure

And if Wade deletes them, we'll have made a big difference.

Indeed we shall! Though I will be somewhat dissapointed for not getting Blam points for them :(

It was bad last year, yeah, but this year it was a whole new level of shit.

When there were only 90 entries deleted on Clock Day, I think that for Clock Day, Tom needs to change the parameters , so that any movies with scores of say 2.50 or below are deleted. This will still mean that an alarmingly low amount of submissions are deleted, but the crap that people willing to vote sensibly on that is at that sort of score is most certainly worthy of deletion.

That's actually a really good idea. I was thinking of just having every submission on that date be given a -2 after it passes, so if it passes with a 3.8 it would be lowered to 1.8. The flaw with that though is the really good submissions would be cheated out of 2 points. =/

But yeah, raising the passing threshold for clock day is definately something to be considered to stop the obvious spammy - less then 10kb type submissions.

Indeed.

That will do no good at all because even if he did do that do you know what stuff passes with on clock day? 3.50 or higher and in this years case 4.09 and more. So even if tom did change the passing point it would have very little effect. I think that Tom should just cancel clock day altogether that way the madness would stop and if the portal was spammed on the old clock day people would blam the stuff that shouldn't pass instead of saving it.

I think canceling it would be a little too far, what about the good quality Clock day submissions? It's unfair to punish those who had nothing to do with the spam attack. Idealy we could get someone to look through all the flash over the next month and delete the appropriate flash and give out proper punishment to the offenders.

Why cancel Clock Day, it was the total inspiration for my official Clock Day movie! Sure, most submissions are spam, but there are some worthwhile movies too! Keep that in mind before you hate on Clock Day like that! Before anyone asks, I had a little too much coffee today and I'm very VERY hyper today since band practice ended. The concert is in a few months, wish me luck in advance!

While this is true they could just sumbit it on another day as well instead since clock day has become nothing more then a spam fest and a stat whore's dream due to people uploading "crap" that they know will pass because of people who want Protect points yet then these same people complain about "how much Crap passes judgement"

As for your Idea for someone looking through all that flash bad Idea. Do you know how much stuff was submitted on that day? The Admins have their hand full keeping the site going for us the users plus they already have enough bad flash to go to through as it is that did get marked. You honestly want them to go through everything that came in on clock day every single year? This would cause problems for the NG staff since if this was to happen an uproar may happen and many people will be afraid to submit flash in fear of it getting deleted.

But if you cancelled clock day sure you will have a few upset people but their wouldn't be a free protect point day either and stuff would get blammed as it should. But this all started when clock day first came as the clocks would vote 5 to their stuff and it would pass evenually people just went with the flow to get points. evenually when 2005 came crap overflowed the portal and due to the attitude
"nothing can be blammed on clock day" everyone vote 5 to everything for the points. So this is why I think clock dy should become like the old layout removed and never be brought back.

ever since they change the passing points people have been making better flash an the bad stuff get blammed quickly so you would as a result get more protect points it has been like this for a while nothing really knew about that. But I can understand your concern due to the madness of clock day.

Sheesh, I've seen a lot of bad flashes pass on the past Clock Days. But this was just ridiculous. More spam than any actual flashes. And some of those were just being resubmitted by countless numbers of alts. A lot of people decided to use the day as an opportunity to have their flashes pass.

How disappointing.

Perhaps he is shy about his utilities?

Anyway, I'm rather sickened of how Clock Day as went. Sure, it didn't help make the day pleasant when I threw up about an hour after Clock Day started, but still, with all the things that alts spammers like Fr0ks submitted, and the fact that there were little to no whistled Flashes definatly pisses me off. However, there is a silver lining to everything, and that is of course the B/P points. After I realized what Fr0ks and cousin and all the other rule breakers were doing, I voted 0 and whistle, but no justice availed.

Hopefully we can put a stop to the nonsense soon. I'm also starting to B/P more again. I really want to hit Elite Guard Supreme Commander now. Just to do and say I have done it.

I'm not saying give every flash a -2 penalty, but since Clock Day is really an excuse to mass-vote shit through the portal, we need to move the goalposts somehow and get some sort of way to stop the spammy crap coming through the portal. I had some realy trouble trying to find the good animations on Clock Day itself, as they were all passing judgement with 4+ scores.

Well, that's your opinion. There were the occasional flash movie which passed judgement with a non green or blue score. We were making steps towards it and if people believed that flash were going to get blammed, they would react and blam normally. They only 5 everything, because they have heard about the "guaranteed Save points"

I think that Tom should just cancel clock day altogether that way the madness would stop and if the portal was spammed on the old clock day people would blam the stuff that shouldn't pass instead of saving it.

Newsflash for LittleWashu: Tom Never created Clock Day, the Clock Crew did. The only way Tom can cancel Clock Day is to pull the plug on Newgrounds for a day. You have more chance of seeing Satan crawl out from hell and joining in the latest production of Swan Lake as the leading lady.

Clock Day is a celebration, I don't want people to stop celebrating. I just want people to submit quality flash that they've put effort into to actually earn the save point. I could submit a piece of shit like this and call it a flash movie on Clock Day and have it pass, but I don't out of principle and respect for Newgrounds.
