Forgot to mention this earlier but List #8 is up for all you loggers out there.

Just ate a load of Thai food from the Thai Pavilion. Can't get enough of it. Congrats to:

Also true, but I'm watching enough South Park and Doctor Who online as it is. Besides it's so much more enjoyable to watch it with other people.
True but I couldn't wait any longer to watch the new Futurama episodes.

Sometimes waiting makes watching them all the sweeter.

Indeed, the NG BBS has a very neat layout. It helps when there's no emoticons or custom colours here with the exception of admin text.
My only complaint is that there's no way to preview your post before posting. Apparently you could before my day. And yes, the classic :P beats an actual face any time. :P
Yeah, that would be a nice feature to have. I think they rejected the idea before, even though it would be very useful for those who want to make sure the HTML works fine. Oh well, at least we can edit our news posts if needed as well as using them for testing HTML.

Thank God for that. I don't think I've ever gotten a news post correct after first posting it. I do wonder why a preview button would be rejected, though. Is it a nuisance somehow?

Thanks! I don't want to feel like I'm intruding or anything so this is very reassuring. :D

Request an audio review. I could use some motivation.

Oh, so Faggard and Fagamut could meet at Level 49?
Yeah, it's a fantastic idea.

Oh yeah, some hot gay cupid love between a dragon and a human.

Thank you, this will be evidence for any alt attacks in the thread. :P
Very weak evidence, though. Might be a bit suspicious if none of the alts was created from a german IP adress. :P
Then I'll assume you don't even live in Germany and have been lying all this time. :P

Crafty thing...

The LUL needs to put on a happy face once in a while.
No, the LUL needs more angry faces. And more boldness when posting achievements.
That's not what I want to see from here.

The angry face is the best emoticon, so we all should use it more often.

The ride was at about half 6 in the morning. I got up early to take her and her brothers, plus a girlfriend of one to Worcester. Then I went home, checked the portal and then back to bed :P I don't do heights. Early mornings I can cope with, but I wouldn't fly in a hot air balloon if you paid me.

Yeah, Kovalchuck might end up in the free agency. Considering he wants a few millions on his contract... I call it a bust on NJ's part.
I think they went for broke, thinking that offence and Marty's defence could win them a cup. Marty faded badly and Ilya was a shadow, not yet used to the spotlight on the big stage. That's why Byfuglien (had to copy that from NHL.com :P) will adapt well to Atlanta, if he can step up to be a star with Bergfors. Now all they need is a good centre and you've got a nice first line there.
Hmm... I don't know much about the rest of Atlanta's team, though. Sure, they might have a pretty good blue line, but what about the others? I hope they do better than this last season, at least. Try putting up a fight with the Capitals in the Southeast division, for starters. :P

And Byfuglien isn't that hard to type. But saying it is something else... :P

Also, your views on Nabokov (almost) leaving San Jose...?

He's a good regular season keeper, but playoffs = suckage.

Also, Hall looks so... ugly! I mean, look at his smile with the Oilers shirt! :P
It's like the 1980s all over again.
Hmm, what do you mean...?

Smiles in Oilers jerseys. Gretzky; Messier & all.

And Coop, where do you watch Hockey or any other sports? Do they air it on the local TV stations or you have to use internet steams?

Hockey via ESPN America very occasionally - it's usually live when I'm in bed. Baseball, I have a subscription to mlb.tv, allowing me to watch live streams of the Yankees and Steven Strasburg starts :P

We played poorly and can't complain - a loss is a loss, regardless of whether it's 1-0 or 4-1.

Really? Heh, my brother was learning this, although he is already in his Civil Engineering course...

I don't know how most of my classmates that chose engineering will survive, if they're pretty bad at math :/

And talking about the FIFA championship, I hope that Mexico wins today since we're going against Argentina. I don't know what will happen :/
Blame the referees.

Everybody in my house was very upset when Argentina scored his 1st goal, everybody was saying that it wasn't a goal but the stupid referee didn't do anything. It counted it as a goal :P
Oh well, I was seeing this to happen.

About halfway between the two of us, but less reason to hate Germany :P Have you guys got nose bleeds yet from doing so well at the finals?
Nose bleeds? :p
From getting so high (far) in the finals. We all know that the Netherlands suck in International competitions, save for their two appearances in the final in the 70s. Failed to qualify seven times, didn't make it past the group stages twice and fell at the second round twice. That's in 16 attempts. You have quite a weight of expectation on the team and you would expect them to do better, with the calibre of players that have worn orange.

You're right there. Holland always has a great team on paper, but seldom does well. To be honest, I think the same goes for England. Beside their win 1966 they have never gotten anywhere further than the fourth place in 1990 and their EC record isn't that impressive either (mostly not qualifying or being eliminated in the group stage).

No the real cupfighters are Italy, Argentina, Germany and Brazil.

I don't know, I guess I just like to see the English go down. Maybe because your media and the English supporters always make such a big drama out of it ;)
I'd like to see us win - that's part of the fun of being patriotic through sport.

Yeah obviously, I like to see Holland win too but I'm not as patriotic over it as most people are. The English appear to be the worst though, judging from the WC topic in the general forum.

Also, I want a chance for us to avenge ourselves for 1986 against Maradona. But, then again, I'd also like to see the Mexicans roll the Argies over - they've been the most positive team so far this year.

No chances to avenge yourself anymore.

It was one of the most enjoyable games of the tourney so far in my opinion. Too bad about that referee fucking up. The game might have been much more interesting if it became 2-2, but Germany deserved the win nonetheless. At least in my opinion.

Actually, I'm sure dragons are more awesome than the Grim Reaper but that's just an opinion and sadly we have no level icons relating to dragons.

Nope, but dragons don't really use weapons do they? Maybe you could have a dragon blade/lance though.

You're forgiven. I don't think I said it yet but thanks for voting me for Best Poster.
You're welcome :)
And now it's the waiting game. They said the voting thread will close on Wednesday but I get the feeling it'll be a day or two earlier.

Yeah it's been quiet there for a while now. Haven't checked the votes for a while either, so no idea if I won (with the current standings). I'll just keep it a surprise.

Isn't American breakfast like British breakfast except greasier? =/

Pancakes with maple syrup for breakfast is awesome though, although I'm not sure if that's typically American.
I always related it to America and not once have I seen it being considered as a breakfast over here.

Hmm maple syrup comes mostly from Quebec apparently, so yeah typically American.

Wtf? I don't even see the point in reviewing cereal. And not liking food because of its shape is not even a legitimate reason... =/
Indeed, his breakfast rants was just a horrible take on James Rolfe's You Know What's Bullshit videos.

Never heard of him.

I don't know that many internet personalities I guess. I know the Angry Video Game Nerd and The Spoony One (and some of his friends), but that's about it.

Oh yes I read that rant some time ago. I just searched for his Tekken 6 review, but I mostly get people bashing his review XD
Yep, enough people were able to see through his bullshit.

I guess so. Strange how so many people are following him or are still watching his reviews. I mean even without the bullshit, he doesn't seem like such an exciting guy =/

So I guess you were right, he hardly plays the games he reviews which is indeed terrible.
And that's why the majority of gamers HATE him!

Rightfully so. I don't get why he does it that way. I mean, I assume he will play those games to the end eventually, so why not wait until then before you review something? Or otherwise you could at least say you're giving a few early thoughts and come back to them later, instead of passing those early thoughts off as a review.

Don't think I'd rather be an American, but it would be sweet if the office was somewhere in Europe :)
I wouldn't mind America. It's probably in a better state than the UK right now.

Yes I've been hearing bad things about the UK lately, but I believe every country is claiming that they are going to shit at the moment. We got a lot of whiners in Holland as well right now, and unfortunately people like Geert Wilders (extreme right wing) are taking advantage of the situation.

There was an Amsterdam meet in 2009 by the way, but I haven't heard much about it.
Yeah, maybe you need to lurk more in the General forum. Well, there's the meet ups wiki that should tell you the upcoming meets so that's another page to keep an eye on.

I've been around more in the general lately, but wasn't around much yet in 2009 I guess. Also I tend to ignore huge general forum topics for some reason.

But yeah that would be far fetched. I wouldn't know what else though.
Maybe it's because I'm a dragon. :P

I never heard anything from the NG staff that would imply they are dragon fans, but maybe they are :)

I'm insanely afraid of heights as well, but a hot air balloon ride? I would love to do that; it's something that not everyone gets a chance to do. And it's not like you are able to fall over the side that easily, unless you are bungee jumping from one.

So you'd rather beat a pub football team than win the world cup? Interesting.

Nobody cares about how bad the other team was, all that counts is the score. Or do you really think Germany played it's best football when the english beat them 5-1 in München? :P
Oliver Kahn said after the match: "Maybe I should've put my sport bag into the goal. It might have saved a shot or two." ^^

Angry face should be sacred.

At first glance I read "scared" and wondered of who the angry face should be scared of, but luckily I realized my mistake.

Level ups are sacred as well, so it's only logical to use the angry face when posting level ups.

Meh - we're still top of the championship, with Hamilton and Button. How many Germans are in the championship this year? Six?! Combined, the Germans have scored 8 more points than the Brits, so I'd say we're more than holding our own :P

Hahahahaha, indeed, there are way too many German races this year. And talk about those bottom Brazilian races. Lucas Di Grassi and Bruno Senna are fighting to see which one finishes last. At least the Germans and Brits are at the top. :P

I'll Say England and Mexico. Can't write the Germans off, but patriotism hides a multitude of sins.
I wasn't going for anyone in England vs. Germany, although I'm a little happy that Germany won, since part of my family is German and such. Even with that stolen goal by Lampard.
Right, today, it'll be Brazil & the Netherlands advancing :D

My thoughts exactly. :P But I've been saying that since the matches were set...

Also, your views on Nabokov (almost) leaving San Jose...?
He's a good regular season keeper, but playoffs = suckage.

Right... I would give him another chance, though. Hey, at least they didn't blow it on the first round. :P

It's like the 1980s all over again.

Ah, right. But he won't be another Gretzkyish player...

And Coop, where do you watch Hockey or any other sports? Do they air it on the local TV stations or you have to use internet steams?
Hockey via ESPN America very occasionally - it's usually live when I'm in bed.

Ah, right... It's because our two ESPNs never air Hockey - only the IIHF and the Olympics. So I have to keep up with the NHL season via Internet streams. Illegal, but it's the only way out...

Baseball, I have a subscription to mlb.tv, allowing me to watch live streams of the Yankees and Steven Strasburg starts :P

Oddly, they air Baseball almost every night in here. :)

Really? Heh, my brother was learning this, although he is already in his Civil Engineering course...
I don't know how most of my classmates that chose engineering will survive, if they're pretty bad at math :/

Hahahahaha, right. My brother is pretty familiar with maths, so he is doing well in it. I like math as well, although I tend to do badly on some topics, like trigonometry. =/

And if Tevez didn't put his head on the ball, there would be a defence man to clear the ball. Meh, damn referees screwing up...

Yeah, he likes most of FOX's stuff. I don't know which one he prefers, though. I remember watching Simpsons with him since 1999, although I haven't watched a lot of Futurama with him, since it's always been aired in less privileged times... =/

They were robbed - Carlos Tevez was offside and while the refs were pretty hot with offside decisions, there are certainly areas where TV could be used to establish that after the ball has gone out of play. Stop the clock, check, tell the ref and move on.

I can see where you're coming from, but when we've won it, we still want to win it again. Perhaps we'll send a team of pub players next time and actually progress.

No the real cupfighters are Italy, Argentina, Germany and Brazil.

Well, that only really leaves Argentina and Germany - Brazil aren't as strong as they used to be, though they have got the Dutch next...

Today's games, I'll be going for Paraguay and Portugal.

Also, I want a chance for us to avenge ourselves for 1986 against Maradona. But, then again, I'd also like to see the Mexicans roll the Argies over - they've been the most positive team so far this year.
No chances to avenge yourself anymore.

They haven't won yet - I don't want to see Maradona win as coach.

It was one of the most enjoyable games of the tourney so far in my opinion. Too bad about that referee fucking up. The game might have been much more interesting if it became 2-2, but Germany deserved the win nonetheless. At least in my opinion.

Still, can't complain - I'll go back to celebrating the cricket.
