I don't know if this would go under FL questions but its about soundfonts..

What site or which website is the best website to download free good soundfonts other than hammersound soundfont library?

I am also looking for soundfonts to make rap/hip hop beats..know any good sites?

Go to effects and go to Fruity Scratcher. That is like a turntable.

Hmm, why do you want soundfonts? Aren't samples or synths easier?

Well, I did a quick google search, and I got http://www.soundfonts.it/. It looks pretty respectable, you should give it a look.

You need to raise your buffer, or your CPU is maxing. Are you using ASIO? if not, your going to have a really laggy buffer; And, is your CPU Maxing? in that case you can try raising the buffer, but most likely you wont be able to do anything, besides getting a more powerful computer. The buffer settings are in the main audio settings, there will be a slider, and with ASIO there will be a driver window where you change the buffer.

Look at the sequencer (playlist) to the right of of the little boxes that you fill in to make sounds. There's patterns listed along the side (pattern 1, pattern 2, etc) that you can name and put certain things into (like, if you want a bassline in one pattern and the drums in another, you can do it and just put that down in the playlist). Just try clicking around on the patterns and on the sequencer and you'll see what I'm talking about.

In school, you learned how to search properly in search engines. Google it.

So newgrounds, I come here again, after a long absence.

My question is about actual piano tablature.
In the piano-roll, what is a G-note, for example?

I can't seem to figure out.
Also, you have a G-key, and another kind of key, what's it's name again?

Hey, I just thought I'd post a page no where you can get some pretty good tutorials on FL Studio, and there also happens to be some tutorials on musical theory as well. I suggest anyone new to making music check them out.

FL Tutorials.

And other tutorials all on Warbeats.com

You build the song from the loops in the playlist window, each channel(on the y axis) is a differnt loop you built in the step sequencer window while the x axis represents time.

Play around with the playlist window and you will figure it out in no time :)

How can I import a MIDI sample written in another program to an existing project? I tried the import command and the open command, and they both make me start a new project.

Hell yeah, motherfucker.

Do we have a deal?

I'm sorry if this has been asked before but, how can I use envelopes to change the volume of specific parts in a song? such as fading in and out on a long note or something.

-Thanks

Simply use an automation clip... Instructions should be in previous pages... But Right click select "create automation clip" place it on the lower half of the playlist, drag and slide it to how you want the automation to take place.

Open the pianor roll, there should be an "Open MIDI" option in there.

However, if your MIDI had multiple channels, it'll try to load all that into the piano roll too, so watch out, do it with only single track MIDIs.

hey there fellow musicians.
i just downloaded fruity loops and the sounds are all messed up! i don't know how to explain it better, there should be something wrong with the driver i'm using...
i know it's a problem with the settings of the program, cause the other softwares i run can play all sounds normally.

did i made myself clear? cause my english sucks! :S

thx

Hey, I just switched over to a new computer and it has vista... Which may be the source of my problem, but i'll ask my question anyways.

So here it goes:

I open FL 6, work on a song, and save it. It saves. Then I work for Oh another 20 minutes or so, and hit save again.... This time it freezes, and has me shut down FL, which causes my FLP to become corrupted.

So, what i've done is i've saved as every few minutes under 2 different names so if one freezes then i use the other one... Problem solved, right?

Wrong, the freeze save, occurs every couple saves, or sometimes on the first save after I open up FL. Is there something wrong with my registry, or a certain VST or something causing it to freeze?

I'm only using vanguard and 3x osc in it, and they both work fine... I just dont know what to do.

Stop downloading porn, it can download viruses also.
Anyways it probably is vista but my brother hasn't had a problem with vista yet so I don't know.

It's not porn... This is a brand new computer and I have yet to soil it with the joys of porn. It must be vista, or something with my registry, but thanks anyways.
