This was an interesting year for NG, alot of great artists came out of nowhere, heres my list in no particular order...

1- Adam P. - great work, great guy, and he really shined this year.
most professional artist ive seen.

2-RomeoJr- most refreshing flash movies ive seen in awhile, his humor is off the charts, and hes fairly underrated.

3-Mindchamber- worked his ass off on the pico toon and it showed, great stuff as usual.

4-James F. - just keeps going and going, high quality work and probably one of the best artists at building a solid series.

5-Synj- havent seen a whole lot from him this year as far as the portal goes, probably due to the console game production.. but the synj vs horrid II toon over the summer was a great little piece to stay in the radar.

-Knox- for his clay work

Legendary Frog for one ring to rule them all 2 and the matrix has you & still has you (though the last one wasn't as good as the first one)

Dan Paladin for synj vs horrid and because AH is finally for GC!!! (thanx TFulp too)

The Sper Flash Bros for Decline I and II, they are hilarious, and the AD serie is a more serious work.

David Firth for Salad Fingers

Grrr. I promised myself I wasn't going to post until I could spare more time but what the hell, once more wont hurt and this looks important. I hope it is anyway. I really would hate to be contributing to a useless popularity contest.

1. JeremyLokken

2. pyropymp_aka_Thomas

3. powermasterprime

4. Stamper

5. MindChamber

Well he hasn't made anything I really enjoyed in a while but I'm going to give this up because I know it's just a matter of time before he impresses me again and he will always get my vote for Heroes of Cybertron. I don't care how old it is, it's golden. i love that flash. ;)

can i have ties with position?

if so
1. Legendaryfrog (got me watching flash)
=1. Super Flash Bros (for their decline series, and influencing my decision to get involved in the flash world)
=1: John & Richie (aka pikanjo, for thier PK series, and thanks to thier forum i am more involved in the flash community)
2. Rubberninja (who was almost 3rd on my list, but his flash movies are so awesome, he had to overtake Metal Maverick).
3. Metal Maverick (for his cool flashes, and his gamer elite, and for being a ice, cool guy)
4. Tomorrows Nobodies (especially for episode 2, and less so for episode 1 and nobodies shorts ep 1, i'm just sad they broke up)
5. Smiffy (for twin noodles, and his contibution to TSAH)

sadly these guys were good, but just missed out from the top 5:
Crazy Boris (Earth_mage_2000), TLF (for his 8=bit theatre movies)

and anyone else i may have missed..

1) Dim & Tom (the_super_flash_bros) - for their fantastic Decline Of Video Gaming series. Also Dim's Another Day series is impressive, although I'm not so keen on it.

2) Joseph Blanchette (legendaryfrog) - how could he not be on this list after bringing out The Matrix Has You, The Matrix Still Has You, One Ring To Rule Them All 3 AND FF7: About Random Battles in one year!

3) Ed Atlin (yellowjumpsuit) - I love all of this guys work, especially Space Tree. Also his website rocks.

4) Mike & Andy Parker (parks2) - College University rules, and they brought out either 2 or 3 episodes this year, can't remember.

5) David Firth (doki) - Salas Fingers is pretty damn cool, and he's made 5 episodes of it this year. Also, I'm a huge fan of Burnt Face Man.

My list would probably be at slightly different were it not about 2004 alone - for one thing John & Richie (pikanjo) would definately be on there, but as they only brought out one Perfect Kirby short this year they didn't make the list.

James Farr: I think everyone knows why he should be like one of the top 5 notable ng artists. His Xombie series is just so great and so well worked.

Luis: He should be nominated for sure for the amazing time he spent organising the NG Time Trials. He gave the chance to loads of artists out there to test their skills and also be noticed by the wide spread Ng community.

Knox: He's probebly won more awards this year than anyone else out there and his movies never stop making me laught. Some might say hes overated but his comical sence of humour and his very complex and mind dwelling plots all make him for sure one of the top 5 here on Ng.

Adam Phillips: He simply came to Ng and stunned us with his visualy stunning creations showing us that flash really has no ends to the wonders you can create with it.

Dan Paladin: Ya basicly hes just deverse it for his great fbf skills that hes mastered over the year of 2004. I think theres no explaning with he really deserves a slot in the top 5.

Yup those would be my choice for the 5 most notable Ng artists of 2004.

Pako-

OMG THATLOL!!

Twat. That's hardly a worthwhile post in the thread, is it?
My votes (for what they're worth):

Adam Phillips - There's just no denying this guy's extraordinary artistic talent. I'm envious.
Sakupen - Dad's home? Just brilliant
Visual_Noize
_Luis_ - Exudes class & style
Freemont - His claymation is FAR superior to Knox's, if you INSIST on voting for claymation, go for this guy. Seriously. Knox fans, stop licking ass, and watch some GOOD claymation...

LOL! looking back through the thread, I notice that virtually none of the people who have voted Knox can actually spell. I'm sorry, I respect the guy's animation abilities, but NG is a FLASH site, and the only reason that his stuff is swf is because he wouldn't be able to plug it on NG unless it was in that format... there are soooooooo many people more deserving, who actually spent hours, days, months, learning the ins-and-outs of Flash as a program; the AS, the Flash drawing, the movie control, everything about the program.....
