Naming your friends uh? Almost as predictable as your jokes.

Los Dias Sin Dias was made in 2003. Exact date: 12-28-03. Although, it's very close of the year 2004 so if Tom made a similar post at the end of 2003 then that artist wasn't counted. Anyway, that flash is old but it's a good one.
James Farr for creating a series that proves flash indies can be as popular as professional animators like Adam Phillips
WIESI MAUSLAND for proving you don't need to make origional game engines or draw your own pics to make popular entries as long as there is naked anime girls (not a good thing, but a credit to what NG fans have become).
Jamus Tiberian, Visual_Noize, Phill Collins and Mousekliks for getting GAMES on the top 50 list
The Behemoth and Chronic-Logic guys for showing how far us indies can really go
and MindChamber for making my/our games (Alloy & Taipan 3k) a whole lot better looking in 2004!
Arch-Angel likes this sig!
how bout me? ^_^
Me, for creating the first things on the BBS so offensive they had to be censored, and for making a Livecorpse movie that made Bedn cry and wet his pants, forcing him to trick people into flagging it.

With a F+ 0.70 batting average, I doubt that Tom will consider you. :D
1.)Chluaid (Adam Phillips)- Most known for Bitey, but I loved his hitchHiker the most.
2.)jamesfarr (James Farr)- Most known for the Xombie series, I certainly enjoy them.
3.)HotDiggedyDemon (Max Gilardi)- Most known for Adam Android, although all of his stuff is good (I'm also slightly biased, him living in my town and being friends with my bro)
4.)MindChamber (uh... dunno)- Most known for Alloy and his Pico's Unloaded movie. Excellent artist.
5.)Mousekliks (Mr. X?)- Known most for Balloon Duel and Final Fantasy A+. Definitely wins out in my book.
Honorable Mention I would give to Kol for his ridiculously cool videos, and most recently, his cool games.
Adam Phillips : surpreme ruler
Knox : So much quality stuff
Tom Fulp : Owns the site. And makes flash how could anyone not know? Involed with alien hominid (I have an NTSC tv, even though I live in Australia, can I play it yet?)
Synj : Also involved in the alien hominid stuff, and has made some great cartoons
Anticlockclock : name so stupid it's easy to remember
I only have a couple
1) LegendaryFrog: His work is always good
2) Randy Solem: His work from the Rise of the MK series is good
3) TLF: Great flash animation based from the 8-bit theatre comics
Here we go:

The only reason why I didn't add kol to my list is because his best flash was made in 2003. (PUSTOTA of course)

hardcored - A truely great sprite artist with great story lines
vinstigator - Dont want to say the same thing as i did with hardcored but its true
superflashbrothers - Decline of Videogaming series and ff7 ABR truely made me laugh till i passed out
Thanks! Glad to see some people appreciate my hard work! And the others you mentioned, they too are awesome artists as well.
My latest single is now availible on the iTunes music store! http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/On -My-Mind-single

To me, the five best artists on Newgrounds, 2004 would be:
2. Anthony (TENT) Hurrell
3. James Farr
5. Adam Phillips
Yep, those are the best flash artists this year.
1. David Firth
2. Adam Phillips
3. James Farr
4. Dave Teatro
5. HyperactiveYouth - Yeah, me.....I didn't do too poorly this year.
I've noticed that '04 has been the downfall of a few popular artists. To name a few, I'd go with:
Legendaryfrog- His things are getting old and his humor is wearing thin. He isn't up to his old standard.
Illwillpress- Foamy fell apart. He is not funny anymore.
TomorrowsNobody- They broke apart....It's too bad, ben was the heart of the group.
out of the year?
LegendaryFrog He has done alot of work, and has also been a great help to the flash community
Joanime An art student but with a load of tallent, her small amout of work has gone a long way here
David Firth He is one scarry guy but love him or hate him he will allways be a clasic now
HotDiggedyDemon I love this guys work, I wish he would post more but at just 16 he has alot of time to wow everyone
illwillpress Again love him or hate him, he is one of the few flash artists who does what he loves

Yea, that's why I didn't have him in the top 5. The only reason he got honorable mention was because I saw that he did in fact have movies that originated from this year, so I put him on the honorable mentions just because PUSTOTA is the best movie ever (I speak the truth, just check my profile). In all honesty I haven't even looked at his stuff from this year.
I really would have no idea who the best 5 flash artists for '04 would be, but here is a few that I would like to recognize.
Psycho_Goldfish, synj (nice work on AH), Adam Philips, James Farr (fellow Canuck, w00t), the dude that did Fallen Angel, Mouseklilks (FFA+ left me roftlmao), Legendary Frog, IllWillPress, and TLF.
I don't care really who makes the top 5, just so long as it isn't somebody that all they submit is porn. ;) This year was a great year for NG, because AH is out, so is GISH, and all these indie games that show the world what indie games can do. Overall, flashes keep getting better and better, and so people are starting to rely on this media more to transmit information, and to shwo the world that geeks truly do rule. XD
James Farr: Awesome animated serie, Xombie
Chluaid: Awesomely animated serie, Bitey
Illwill: Made frontpage more than anyone
Lf: most flagged artist, made craploads of popular stuff in 2003-2004
Knox: king of the portal infinite times and has way too many awards
close: The guy who made Salad Fingers, Marc M.
1) SecretAgentRege - b/c everything he has done/knows in flash has been in 2004 w/ 6 awards, 4 front page submissions, and a cartoon that ranked at #10 all time (although it has slipped since).. oh, and because I love myself.
Ok, Seriously though;
Tom F. and Dan P. - Made a game (though not in 2004) however, it was ported to major systems in 2004.. how is that not the most notable?!
After that, Adam Phillips for animation, James Farr for professionalism (in a series), and David Firth for creating a series with a phenominal pull that will probably run too long and sooner or later become annoying ala "Foamy."
Dailytoons are just incredible for too many reasons to count.
There is no reason for me to explain why
I loved "Anniversary". He is insanely underrated
4. Patrick Lo
I think his movie Crimson Pistols was a damn good movie
Dad's Home :)
5. WX-Wei Xing
int experience, posts;
while(experience/10 >= posts)

I won't say what this is for just yet... I also won't list some of the artists I have in mind. I want to gauge the response from users. Post your top five list to this thread!
1. SamBakZa - I scouted the group out and sent them to NG. Very unique animations that warms the heart.
2. Adam Phillips - ... need I say more. (Bitey)
3. Tomorrows_Nobody - so awesome to watch.
4. James Farr - Xombielicious
5. David Firth - Flash that goes were few have gone (well).
Its a tough call, but thats my 5... maybe if arfenhous 3 came out...
