What type of music do you like to listen to while you're studying? Or, do you like to listen to music at all while studying?
I prefer listening to music without lyrics while I'm studying. I like instrumental music, especially piano or acoustic guitar based tracks.
One of my favorite songs to study to on repeat is [Samskeyti] by Sigur Ròs.
I'm in the same boat. I can't listen to anything that has any sort of lyrical content in it while studying. It's too distracting for me. Most of the time, I just prefer the peace and quiet, but I'll occasionally listen to some slow tempo jazz or classical music.
If it's something I have to focus on and cram into my memory, it's either no music or I'll listen to game soundtrack on a low volume.
Sorry this might not be the best song for studying but it's a really good classical song.

I have a job, so when I study stuff, it's usually just for fun. If I'm not studying in complete silence, pretty much anything goes. It just tends to be that most of the songs I listen to are metal songs. I last went through a set of Persuader songs the last time I really tried focusing my mind.

I throw on the Donkey Kong Country 2 soundtrack usually; SiIvaGunner on youtube has some really good mashups I listen to as well.
Wisp X has a really great album for quick periods of study I'll link here.
Other than that I'll cycle through Rush, Opeth, InFlames, Trivium, Bodem etc...

well, being that i rarely ever studied in my life...i'll just say classical. i've always been able to listen to a lecture and memorize, or just read things once.

I liked the Australasia album the best.
90's rap instrumentals. Specifically most of J Dilla's unreleased discography, the MPC 3000 track 34 comes to mind, although a lot of his released stuff is great too. Favourite of mine is Dreamy, and the non-instrumental version is a remix of a D'Angelo song that I like, so it all adds up.
Nujabes is an obvious choice, LJones has a few nice tracks, and 9th Wonder was basically inspired by that entire era so his stuff captures it perfectly. There's a bunch of homework mixes on Youtube that stretch for an hour, they're probably the best study music I've come across (For me, that is) and they're kinda the reason I make instrumental techno stuff now.
These guys are all repetitive and unobtrusive in their production, which is exactly what you want for study music.
