Oh I am in.
Although there will be exceptions I've decided to pick a theme rather than stumble on one this year. I'm going to attempt to watch a bunch of atomic age horror flicks. They're numerous, cheesy as fuck and usually not that long so fitting one in a given day won't be hard.

Halloween is the best holiday. The movies look good.

Well I'm in the same boat. There's a movie coming out I'm interested in but not sure whether it would count as a horror flick so I differ to the counsel. Hell and Back

It's listed as an adventure comedy but giving the setting and plot there are obviously going to be horror elements. What do people think?

A) I just don't have the time with college/schoolwork/working at school
B) I'm a bit of a bitch when it comes to horror movies sometimes. I like watching a good scary one, but maybe not everyday...

I'm just about out of ideas of movies I haven't seen that I'm willing to rent. Stuff I can stream online for free is another thing, but that's a different selection. And stuff to wait to arrive in the mail has to have a little better chance of either being at least okay or being good bad instead of bad bad. Maybe the Babadook, it Follows, the Signal... eh.

Starting off my month I watched 1960s atom age vampire, which is public domain so here's a link https://youtu.be/9EOS-FFhTIw

It has the hallmark tampering on gods domain of the era but aside from the doctor collecting melted bottles from Hiroshima there's nothing really atomic about the plot.

I'm starting off my month with The Monster Squad It's on Netflix and I intend to watch it tonight!

However I feel we shouldn't limit this to just horror movies. There are a lot of Halloween themed movies out there, not just horror movies. Nothing wrong with a little fun now and again.

Just finished up 1987's The Monster Squad on Netflix. Fantastic movie. Very charming mix of The Goonies with classic monsters like Dracula and The Wolfman. Great lines and characters in it with a pretty good story. Love movies like this. Would recommend.

The Monster Squad is a great film. Back when they knew how to make films.

Oct 1:

Watched the Green Inferno in theaters. Torture porn from the creator of Hostel. Not going to lie, I felt a little squeamish.

Today I'll watch another, I'll keep a list and post my progress once it's the 31st.

Personally, I plan to watch the first 2 Underworld movies, as well as the Evil Dead movies if they're streaming on Netflix.

i just watched Trick 'r Treat last night. I think it was too soon to watch a Halloween Day themed horror film on an October the 1st but it's still cool. Also here's a screenshot of my desktop to commemorate the month..i'm still thinking about adding some men of horror.

Off to a bad start! lol

Well, some of the effects in Spookies were pretty trippy like the guy eaten by the spider chick and the girl's face melted by that, uh, thing. And Return 3 had some neat zombies.

Today's movie was night fright. A killer ape thay had been mutated in an experimental space craft shows up once or twice. Otherwise is a delightful romp from that period where the 60s were still the 50s featuring college age drama, plastic diners, a lyric free song that lasts the entire party and a lovable gruff sheriff

Watched Wes Craven's New Nightmare (1994) today. Really interesting movie. Loved how meta it was and its critique on the Freddy Krueger films before it, but I'm not sure if it was THAT scary to me. I might just be jaded from having watched so many slasher flicks from that era. Still a quality film, though!
