Don't Escape
I'm a werewolf and it's a full moon. I have to find a way to prevent myself from escaping.

Every year around this time, true connoisseurs of horror flicks go about the terrifying task of watching them for the whole month of October.
That's 31 days. 31 movies. Are you up to it?
Last year I made it to around 22. Good effort, and I saw a lot of horror movies I haven't seen before.
So what are the rest of you fearless horror junkies going to watch? I know for me, to commemorate this first day, I will watch an old classic: Evil Dead!
I'm gonna post my list soon. What's on yours, NG?

i joined the horror movie club and so me and my best mate bet on who could go the longest. my first is one of his favorites, one ive never seen, Dead Snow. supposedly horror though it seems comedic which i dont think counts. does it?

I think it counts. I like comedic and campy horror like Evil Dead series, and Troma Films. Poultrygeist was a disgusting laugh riot from hell...

i'd say it counts
as long as it's thematically horror (so that would include shaun of the dead and etc)
i'mma do it this year
i haven't watched horror regularly in years, so i should probably catch up
i'll post my list later, i should research and think about it
nice. i hope epicfail comes around this thread as i believe he is the guy who knows a lot of horror movies and i am a horror movie noob. i dont want to end up watching horrible mainstream 'horror' movies ive never bothered to watch. i want that B movie feel.

I wish there were more good horror movies on TV, they just put shit on like the early SAW movies, and I can never find the effort to download any.
I thought this would be another "don't fap this month" thing, but OK.

I don't even know of 31 horror movies, and I don't have the time to watch one everynight. Then again I'm not a horror fan myself.
A spear in your chest and a fire in your ass. I only play as Scorpion in MK games, because I'm that much of a fanboy.

All movies by Troma are both horror and comedy. I actually think that horror depicted as comedy shows an underlying theme of the lack of concern for human life. Which I think is an interesting approach, and appropriate.
Also, to whoever said EpicFail: Yes! I hope he comes back too. He's the one who started last year's thread.
Think I'll shoot him a pm as a matter of fact...

I've never done this before but I'm going to try it out this year. I'll start tonight with one of my favorites, The Shining. I'm going to try seeing a few horror movies I've never seen before, so if anybody has any suggestions for good horror movies, preferably something available for instant streaming on Netflix, I'd appreciate it.
I'll watch Night of the Living dead 31 times, then we'll see. THEN WE'LL SEE LOL!
I normally don't have that many Horror movies or Halloween themed movies in my movie collection. I always watch these three every October though.
- Psycho
- The Nightmare Before Christmas
- It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!
I don't think I have enough time on my hands to watch movies every night.
I'll try and get around to it. I'll probably start it off with whatever is the highest rated on the horror section of Netflix and choose progressively worse and worse movies.

In my book, Toxic Avenger qualifies. Anything made by Troma is good enough in my opinion. I fucking love every movie I've seen from Troma!
I watched EVIL BONG last night, and will watch Demonic Toys or Decadent evil tonight, I guess Evil Bong counted as the first movie of the 31 day challenge since I watched it at about 5am today.
Decadent Evil or Demonic Toys will be my 2nd movie, tonight or early this morning. I'm really looking forward to this month as I just gripped about ten new horror flicks I haven't seen yet - So this is going to be exciting.

I never planned on doing a list this year because I was just going to find random ones online and click the first horror flick I could see..
From what I personally own on DVD - I'll be watching the following:
1. EVIL BONG (watched today)
2. Decadent Evil
3. Demonic Toys
4. Meridian
5. Zombie Dearest
6. Backwoods Bloodbath
7. Witchcraft 13
8. The Dead Sleep
9. Memorial Valley Massacre (one of my faves)
10. Blood Sucking Freaks (Another Classic)
11. Evil Bong II: King Bong
12. Evil Bong III: The Wrath of Bong
That's all I have planned so far, and they are in no specific order. I think I might watch Demonic Toys tonight with my pops and count that as one of them, even though it would technically be 2 in 1 day at that point.. .And then around 1-2 AM I'll watch Evil Bong II.
Yeah, whatever.
EVIL BONG II is on the menu tonight! The movie plans with my pops didn't work out, so that will wait until tomorrow. Last year I missed a few days and this year I plan on making up for that.
Every day, will be a day of horror, mark my word. I won't miss a single day this month!
Yeah, whatever.
Here's the status so far:
1 - Dunwitch Horror
2 - Evil Bong
3 - Call of Cthulhu (tonite)
Dunno what I'm gonna watch next, but the first 2 were good. Hope this one is too. :)

- Psycho
I'm mad at myself for falling asleep on this yesterday, from what I hear this movie helped set the bar for the horror genre.

Tonight, I watch Undocumented!
Supposed to be a documentary type film about Mexican folk crossing the borders, but these border control dudes or something torture them for hopping the border, I dunno.
Sounds awesome though, my kinda flick!
Legally, I'll have to start it after midnight, or else I've watched 4 in 3 days... Playing by the rules.
Tomorrow I'll check out Decadent Evil.
Yeah, whatever.

You sir, know what a good horror flick is.

Emily Rose was actually decent from what I remember. I think the exorcism flicks in horror have gone way too far though.
The Rite was the only decent one I've seen as of late, I'm really sick of those documentary type flicks as well, like the one exorcism movie that was a documentary styled one, god awful.
Yeah, whatever.
I know I'm saying something insanly obvious here but, damn horror movies can be weird. Here's the last few days for me
2. boogyman (1980) A grown sister and brother are tormented by their mothers murdered boyfriend through a haunted mirror. Featuring the great John Carradine.
3. Blood and donuts: This movie couldn't be more 90's if Jay and Silent Bob had a cameo.
4. Crimson Rivers: Jean Reno and his savvat kicking sidekick vs. Inbreeding university. Yes, it's French
