As I see it, upper level zonal winds are close to climatology average. Any disturbance that develops in Central America must take a more northerly track around the potential weakness in the subtropical ridge in order to intensify steadily. If the track is more west, it will go against the upper level wind (so wind shear will lessen the chance of intensification).
Land interaction will also diminish the chance of development.
Weak disturbance tend to follow low level wind (below 700hPa level). The projected sea level pressure in the Gulf is higher than average, which means that weak disturbance is likely to be more west.
If the initial development rate is slow, then the chance of a tropical cyclone hitting the Gulf coast is pretty low.

lol no. I ordered online and was too busy scarfing down some free fries they gave me because my birthday was last week.
