Who here, on Newgrounds, can say with confidence that they are a Christian? And yes, being Catholic, Presbyterian or anything like that counts. I just want to see the responses that you may have.
i love you

Claiming to be a part of a religion or faith certainly doesn't make one a true follower of it. Approximately 73% of the United States calls itself "Christian," but I have yet to see a mere 10% with the moral fortitude and humility associated with Judeo-Christian faiths. If you profess to adhere to Biblical teaching, I strongly recommend that you read at least one sentence of Scripture - namely, "Love thy neighbor as thyself." I would also suggest helping your community and serving others rather than putting people down for your selfish gain.

Took the words out of my mouth, this is the reason why I made this post.
For those of you who claim yourself Christian, I want you to answer a few questions for me, and give honest responses, please.
First, How did you find God? Did he come to you? Did you try to find him? Were you taught about him as you were raised?
Second, What are you doing currently as a Christian? Are you praying? How often? Are you reading the Bible? How often? Are you going to church at all?
Third, for those of you who go to church, What are you taking from your sermons? What have you learned? What are you doing from the influence of these sermons?
Take this into consideration, I'm not trying to judge you guys, for why would I point out the splinter in one's eye without taking consideration the plank in my own?
i love you
I was raised Catholic, but believe it or not I actually found the Church to be too tolerant and politically-correct. I'm kind of in a limbo now, but I'm sympathetic to the WBC.
I wholeheartedly believe in Jeesus and the Universal God
Are you not Entertained ?!?
I was raised Catholic, and I struggled with it pretty much the entire time. The sheer concept of God was (and is) confusing and inconsistent. As I got older, I tried dabbling in other faiths, but eventually I found that agnosticism was the best fit for me.

Sure thing.

My parents and and aunts and uncles are all Christians, their parents are Christians, so naturally I grew up in a very Bible-and-church-centered environment. I got saved when I was about 4 years old, and I've very slowly but steadily been growing closer to God ever since then.
Second, What are you doing currently as a Christian? Are you praying? How often? Are you reading the Bible? How often? Are you going to church at all?
I pray quite a bit throughout the day. I do my best to be like Jesus to everyone I interact with, though as you could easily find out, this does not often enough extend to my online interactions, which is shameful but very difficult to avoid. I try to read the Bible occasionally but since I've read it through at least once, I often feel like I'm not getting anything new out of it. I like praying more than I like reading the Bible, and it feels weird to admit that because I know that I should read the Bible more often than I do. I go to church every week.
Third, for those of you who go to church, What are you taking from your sermons? What have you learned? What are you doing from the influence of these sermons?
My church recently went through a change in leadership. The former senior pastor's sermons always seemed to cause me to rethink myself and my motives and try to bring them into perspective with my relationship with God, but the new pastor's sermons seem generally centered around making people feel better about themselves. He does preach Jesus but it just doesn't spark any sort of introspection, which is in a sense a good thing because it allows us to focus more on others, but still, I personally don't get a whole lot out of his messages. Our church is very involved in evangelical ministry though which is really great, both internationally and locally, and someday I intend to go to Cambodia where we sponsor orphanage/church things and see what I can do to help.
Take this into consideration, I'm not trying to judge you guys, for why would I point out the splinter in one's eye without taking consideration the plank in my own?
A very important Biblical principle to keep in mind; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of the Lord.

For anyone who grew up in church it's pretty much second nature
I was raised Christian, and I practice many Christian practices, but I wouldn't consider myself a true Christian because of how much of a chucklefuck I act.
i am and im proud of it
no im not a shoving it in your face asshole
HELP YEMEN RACIALISTS
I was raised in a very Christian household, but stopped believing &/ going to church when I was about 12. I think Christianity is on its way out in the UK and probably a lot of Europe.

i didn't mean it like that
when ministers/priest preach and or talk about the bible/scriptures you can choose to believe or not. Jesus disciples went to preach the word of god and the miracles of Jesus after he was crucified. sure many may have walked pass them but.
they still preached even if some didn't believe.
I have no religion but I do have guidelines for life and I do like helping with Habitats for Humanity.
One truth Prevails
Never really thought I was of any religious persuasion, nor of the belief in God. Ever since I've been capable of critical thinking I've not really seen God as a viable option for anything really. When I was young me and my Dad were talking, and I remember him sullying the notion of God, and me, being around 5 and therefore fairly scared of God, shouting at him "He'll smite you!"
I did not grow up in a religious family.
I play Xbox sometimes. Add me if you absolutely must, my gamertag is JuicyRumpSteak. Also, don't do drugs, stupid shit happens.

I think it would be excruciatingly hard for a Christian to co-mingle on this site. All this gayness. All this fuck. Would be hell for a christian in my eyes.

Although I am not a Church goer, I believe that being a Christian is a state of mind/way of life, that I try to follow, but I do not always succeed, however, I do not believe that when I fail to live up to what I perceive to be Christian ways, God, or whoever/whatever is going to cast me into eternal damnation, I just think "oh fuck", I am only human, after all.

I believe strongly in the teachings of Christ, but no, I am not christian.
I'm not a Christian, and I don't really give a damn about to care, even though a lot of my friends are Christian themselves. {How Christian they really are is wildly disputed} I've never been one to believe in a unkempt hippie impressing crowds with "miracles", especially since there are other Messiahs who claimed that they did just that before and after Christ, and yet he gets all the publicity.
Not to say that his teachings weren't good ones, {albeit naive to an extent} but all that magical miracle crap is impossible for me to take.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.
they used worship multiple gods, lucky they came into their senses and started worshiping a dead carpenter
My father is a christian of some sort, and I think my mother is, too. Most of my family is religious to some extent. Never really go to church save a few weddings and funerals.
Children of Newgrounds I think you should tolerate all forms of religions if you do not already namaste !!!!
