I personally believe that there is no God although I'm not 100% sure, as nobody is. I just think that a belief in any form of afterlife is just to comfort those who don't like the idea that it'll all end one day and this is the same for a belief in a deity. I think that it's just so that people can say that there is always somebody there watching over you like a parental figure for grown ups and I don't buy into it, though I can see how it would be comforting to know that there is a punishment for the evil beyond this world and a reward for the good but life isn't fair or nice so I can't see it being anything more the smoke and mirrors.
Highlighting that these are just my beliefs and I don't want anybody to get offended or even change there views because of mine, if you are religious then that is a good thing and I hope that it makes you happy. I only dislike religion when some fanatic decides to attack or abuse those with different views, these are sub human scum.

It doesn't matter if he does or doesn't exist. The world is how it is, hypothetical lack of god doesn't disturb this world as well as his hypothetical presence.
My opinion for God is somewhat similar to Decky's.
I'm not sure about his existence.But I believe the "idea" of God was created by humans who either wanted to control others or they wanted to explain some weird phenomenons which they couldn't explain rationally(e.g Lighting was the rage of God).

I (personally) don't believe in a god (excluding of course the flying spaghetti monster and all of his noodle-y appendages, ramen.), but then again i don't really care what other people believe. I guess unconsciously i hope there is a god, just so an afterlife can exist. Then there is the possibility of ending up in some sort of "hell". But who knows, maybe that would be something out of a druggie's high. Still wouldn't be some place you'd "want" to end up in, but it might be quite interesting in the very least. Anyway that's the end of my ramblings.

Well, depending on what god is, I would say we are better off without a god. I mean, an omnipotent could easily use us to play simcity, and we all know what happens when someone gets frustrated while playing that game.
