Probably.
Letsbeef.com is one I know of. Mad dick-riding going on there though so I did 2 battles and left.

Also I have a feeling there'll be more regular shit going on with Clabtrap this year. At least I hope so. I'd like to get in on some collabage if anyone's into.

It'd be too much if B-Serious got to round 2 on the merits of being put against scorch and then noone. Tooo much, and the people of clabtrap deserve a good battle.

I'll battle him separately, but I lost fairly to "Raven". I don't want to move on like that.

Everyone on that site sounds tamer than here, here people sound a little hungrier lets be real. The battles are kind of these soft pansy over on this site of things we hire private I's too dig up peoples rehab history and find out they use too huff glue in elementary school.

I am impressed how well the've monetized battlerapping though. I'll be honest I kind of want to maybe get some dollar amount together and something with a double elimination brackets. (it'll fit on a DVD no CD)

Bracket Seeding
All players in the tournament will be âEUoeseeded by regionâEU. To the best of our ability, we will place players in the bracket in a manner that minimizes the chances of them playing against someone who lives in close physical proximity to them. This increases the likelihood that you will play against players whom you have not played against before.

Choosing Beats
There are 3 methods for choosing beats. Standard Selection, Double Blind Selection, and beat Courtesy.

If the battlers do not discuss the method of beat selection, it should be understood that the Standard method is being used. If the battlers cannot come to an agreement on the method of character selection, the judge will apply the double blind method.

Other than that general ClabTrap rules I think? Does this appeal to anyone? I will start a kickstarter and whatever people chip in I will match it. Thats the idea...

Tournaments are about more than just winning. They are an opportunity to meet people from different countries and different walks of life who share the passion. :)

Basically if you get knocked out you get put into a losers backet, losers backet faces who ever wins in the finals in what is dubbed "grand finals".

SAMPLE BRACKET ONLY:
http://i.imgur.com/UjwWc.jpg

I don't want to make it with as many people in the sample. I'm thinking 16-32 because I just want to run the format. If its a success we'll open it too the public and increase the pot.

Cheers

So I'm working on a new song and I have the lyrics "You're only baiting a rapist/It's unsafe to delay this" but reading back over them, I swear I've heard them before and I think it's from something here. Can anyone confirm/deny this so I don't end up plagiarizing?

I would not recommend a large competition as your first foray into hosting battles. First you should try to host some battles. You can do this right now actually, maybe you can organize some battles for the knocked out MCs.

There 8 mc bracket with Double elim, maybe I put 100 dollars up? How much is a realistic pool I want to payout 1/2/3 (70%/20%/10%)...

Dude, you're kind of stepping on Red's toes trying to promote a battle tournament within his battle tournament. Seems kind of like you're trying to sling rocks on his turf, lol.

And you're calling it Spacetrap?

You've never hosted a battle before, just putting a few battles on would be a better place to start. Maybe you could organize a round of battles, like the January ones. Once Round 2 is over there will be almost 30 MCs with nothing to do, set up some battles and get some experience hosting them. Honestly it's not easy and things fall apart quickly. I think you're underestimating the amount of work it takes to put a competition like this on.

You should also probably come up with a more unique name. Spacetrap and Collab Trap sound just a bit familiar.

tvJohnny, where did you go? Your battle was dope. Originality vs Scuare's cookie-cutter flow.

Fuck it, I don't care if he is just suddle and R-av, I want to "battle" tvJohnny. And by battle, I mean, collaborative rap comedy nonsense bullshit.

Being off beat doesn't make your flow original.

Off-beat? No. That's the sound of awesome.

I think we're done here. You can go back to listening to mainstream hip hop on your Beats by Dr. Dre.

I want to know what you listen to, for the sake of my amusement.

Ludwig van Beethoven, Gustav Mahler, Richard Wagner, Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Johannes Brahms, and Sir Edward Elgar, and Antonin Dvorak, mostly. Mixed in with John Williams, Danny Elfman, Jesper Kyd, Christopher Lennertz, John Powell, Jeremy Soule and rounded out with Buddy Holly, Benny Goodman, Gene Krupa, Henry Mancini, and The Beatles.

I think you're right, but round 1 takes forever because of preround. Anything else should be 24 days at max. This tourney could last a while.

I meant theres 3 days for each verse. 4 verses. = 12 Days. Pre-Round,1stRound=24 Days. Lets say Red waits a day to upload the battles. = 26 days. So all battles should be released about now.

However, FatBum Timmy apparently had a legitimate reason to take longer than his 3 days so I guess we should only be waiting on him.

Ok, and general discussion time, I'll keep this in mind for next year.

In this first round, if you haven't noticed, I'm flexible on deadlines. I say three days, but if someone pushes it I'll usually accept it a bit late. Thing is, a lot of people haven't been in my comps before and if I was super strict I would end up DQing half the comp. The deadlines get more strict as we get into higher rounds.

What do you guys thing about this? Would you rather a quicker first round with a pile of DQs, or would you rather it take a bit longer but have more battles actually happen? I've always wanted to hear the battles happen, but next year I'm expecting the number of MCs to increase and at that point we can DQ half the people and still have a dope tournament. Thoughts?

Honestly, its hard to have it to fair when the first battle has had nearly a month to be voted on while the last one may have a few days lol. That isn't a huge deal though.

I only mention the deadline thing cause if I had known I could've pushed it to like 4 days for each verse, I would've had more time to record and made my verses sound better lol.
