There's still time you know. The more back-up judges, the better. Although as a backup judge you won't be able to review a submission of a round until after the results of the round in question have been out.

Currently I'm just about to finish my 7th review for today, and I'll be right on schedule. If I do 7 reviews a day I'll be done with plenty of time to spare.

dang im still having trouble with my laptop , im going to take it to a repair center, but i don't really know how much time is it gonna take.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Acid-Paradox has just informed me that he can't make it to take part in Round 2. Therefore, Echo and I have decided to do this:

This round will have 16 winners and 16 losers, right? Both Acid-Paradox and his opponent won't be taking part in Round 2, so that means we'll have 15 competitors instead of the necessary 16. So, Echo and I have agreed that to fix this, we'll look through all of the final scores of the 16 losers when the results are out, and the loser with the highest score takes part in Round 2 so that we'll have 16 competitors.

Yup, so although it's bad news for Acid-Paradox that he can't take part, it's good news for everyone else because at least one of the losers still gets a sporting chance in the next round.

We've had this discussion about the amount of time before. 2 weeks has been the deadline for every previous NGADM and most people have managed to make a great track during that time period (just take a look at the 27 out of 32 people who did this time). If we make the deadline any longer then the competition will end up taking a lot longer to finish, and it's already big enough as it is.

You've just got to make sure you can make a song in a 2-week deadline before joining this competition. Some people can make it, and some people need longer. That's why we said in the first post that whoever can't keep up with the pace shouldn't join.

Its part of the vigor of competition. Its takes me two days to make a song (say, 16 hours tops). One day i write, the second day i mix.

2 weeks is ample time, unless you have some sort of writer's block.

Is generous. I think time management and budgeting is an important skill and working within a rather lengthy period of time as 2 weeks is fair.
