Indeed. Though putting them in order is harder :P.

I don't buy CD's that often and I don't own any of the Illusions records so I've had to download the songs (Hey, It's legal here in Canada) and I just discovered Locomotive recently and didn't like it that much at first but it grew on me.

Heathen! And you had me believe that you're a true GN'R fan :(.
You disappoint me Popey.

:O
Put it this way, if it weren't for downloading I would hav never heard Sweet Child O' Mine meaning no GN'R and no Guitar!

Plus I own Appitite, Lies, Live Era, the Welcome To The Videos DVD and both UYI Tokyo concert DVD's.

Thats a plus, but they're cool albums... buy em!

I don't own Lies or Live Era... so we're almost even.... cept you spelt Appetite wrong :P.

To not go off topic, does anyone know what Ibanez model Herman Li (the natural finish one), John Petrucci (the one with the psychedelicish paintjob) and Christian Munzner play?

Its just I want a guitar I can use for shredding purposes, and with Ibanez's roster of players its clear to see they're a shredders choice, so I've decided I want an Ibanez. But I want one similar to any of those guitars ones. In particular Herman Lis natural finished one.

Like Yngwie without the weight :P.
I'm impressed. I wish I could play like that. I really need to focus on learning to sweep/learn scale patterns.

Question for the big boys - Jarry, Buzzard, I'm looking at you.
Say if I bought a Hello Kitty Squier, and wanted to transfer the bridge to a Floyd Rose esque one (with a locking nut obviously). How expensive would it be to change it (assume I got a profession to do it).

Thanks to armorgames I now have too much money.
I know I posted before on buying a nice fender strat, but I'm probably going a little step higher.

So are gibson flying V's good guitars?

I could use some money :D.

Hint, hint.

Out of all the guitars I've ever played in guitar stores (ie, really badly set up guitars) the only one I ever enjoyed playing was an Epiphone Flying V. It was a joy to play. So the Gibson version can only be better. Plus they're rather cheapish too (for a Gibson).

Yeah, which is why I would probably go for a V, since most other gibson's are a lot more expensive and I don't have THAT much money (well, I do. but I also need a new amplifier and tickets to a festival)

So they're great playable and make good sound? Worth the cash? (about $700)
I'll check the local guitar stores whether there is a shop that has them, otherwise I'll probably have to go to amsterdam.

I thought the playability was brilliant, I love Gibson/Epiphone necks. Other V's I've tried - Jacksons - have paled in comparrison. Plus the input on the Gibson V is far more convenient.. In terms of sound I never tried a Gibson so I can't really say. So its best if you try it out for yourself sometime.
You might wanna try and look for a Tokai V (if they do them, I'm not too sure). But they make excellent replica's of Gibson's models. And I'm pretty sure it was the majority view in this few (a few pages back) that Tokai's > Gibsons.
