2-0 Germany haha!

Again poor defending by the English and a nice finish by Podolski.

Upon careful revision, I should rephrase my last post to "i'll be rooting for Germany, since i'm british"

Even if this is the first world cup game i've watched, I should have known England'd be dominated :P

Anyway, time to open a beer and prepare myself for my 8th World Cup disappointment. Cheers!
if you're so sure about germany winning, if England win you will go and kiss that horse. deal? deal.

Looks like horsie is safe from its ordeal. Being right isn't always what it's cracked up to be.

Suddenly retaliation.

This is why I find people like Blatter and Platini to be complete and utter fuckwits.

VIDEO REPLAY, JERKOFFS.

But no, they love the controversy.

Anyhow, England's finally waking up, though I'm still surprised that Capello hasn't taught any tricks to your guys' defense. You'd think one of the best ITALIAN coaches out there would know something about that part of the field.

(I mean: Italy's typically known for its strong defense, not "Italians are awesome, period").

Pure awesomeness. You must read it.

I can imagine the English supporters are a little pissed right now :p It could've hardly been anymore obvious that that ball was in.

I guess it is indeed time the refs get some electronic help devices. Too many mistakes have been made in this tournament already that have had a major influence on the outcomes of the games.

Lol yeah, when Italy agrees "bad call", it's a fucking bad call.
And i agree with your input on Italian defence, that's pretty much Italy's copyright.
For a few months now england's going to be talking about goal line technology, TV reviews, 5 referees, etc. On that note, i agree, agree and disagree: adding more goal line refs would just add the amount of people fucking shit up.
Other then that, get the old farts out of FIFA's top levels and get some post-1912 technology on the damn field already. Controversy and drama are very very tasty, but... Damn.

Pic: this is not a goal according to FIFA lawl

I don't care what the rules are, but it would be utterly ludicrous if they don't start the second half with a 2-2 score. This is about which of the two teams is the best and complete fuck-ups by the refereeing should not have any impact on the results of a match. This mistake is very easy to set right and if they don't then this will be a big blow to the credibility of the FIFA.

That would be the deal the 1966 players made with the devil.
The two teams are even in those terms now.

Yeah, I've been of that thought for a long time now. In Rugby Union, any question over tries (scores) are sent to the video ref. It wouldn't interrupt play too much to do that in football, if it's not a goal, put it to goal kick and start over. Same can be said to some (but less influential on the match) offside calls - perhaps even do what they do in tennis and give each team up to three calls that they can make on decisions per match.

Exactly. It's all about TV shows being able to interview both sides after the game and host entire "sports" shows that do nothing but bicker and whine about how stupid the ref was and so on.

A.k.a. cash.

Meanwhile, Lampard could've gone into the Lockeroom as the man who put England back into the game and back into the Cup, but now he's been denied that by a short little bastard on the side who obviously can't see straight.

You're totally right.
What a goal right there, i can´t believe the reff didn't see it.
This is why there needs to be a reff behind the goal. just like they did in the Europa League, such an easy solution to a big problem.

And so history repeat itself....

Very bad call on the ref, but we still got another 45 minutes to score a goal.

Really sympathise with England who were 100% screwed over there, believe me I know exactly how it feels to be robbed. If it's any consolation, you're still in the match at 2-1, whereas if James were playing worse it could be 5-1 right now.
